11am: Saints lose Geary for blockbuster

ST KILDA defender Jarryn Geary has been ruled out of tomorrow night's clash against Richmond after suffering a fractured eye socket in a brutal collision last week.

Geary left the field with blood streaming from a gash above his eye after laying a fierce tackle on Alex Johnson during the Saints' win against Sydney last Saturday. After being assessed by medicos he was subbed out of the game.

“He has a minor (facial) fracture so he will be out this week, hopefully available the following week but we will assess that early next week,” coach Scott Watters told the Saints website.

"He has had a solid year… so we will miss him, but we have players vying for selection who will come in and play their role.”

In a further blow to the Saints' defence, Sam Fisher won't be back for another 1-2 weeks after a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

That will leave yet more responsibility for the unheralded Jason Blake, who has proved his worth again in recent weeks in the absence of ruckman Ben McEvoy. Jon Anderson puts his case for Blake to earn his first-ever Brownlow vote HERE.

The injuries haven't dimmed the enthusiasm of club great Danny Frawley who says the Saints can end their 46-year premiership drought this season. Read the full story HERE.

Brock McLean's first week in my SC gets 98, Mike Pyke's third and last week with me after his 42, but he made me enough money.
Ablett 128 as his doubled captain score would have burned a lot of people, but big Ivan (111) saluted again.

In DT, I am getting done... Steven Morris has shown that the fifties-to-sixties are going to be his fantasy football bag, so he may be on the way out when Richmond have their bye, Dusty Martin rocked out the neck tattoo, but struggled for me, at least my opponent had him too.
Unless Buddy knocks one up shortly, I have zero hundreds (barring Chappy, but he only got 89, I stupidly made him skipper).
