Creek are a 10 goal better side than any I've seen this year. If they keep the cattle on the park it Won't surprise me if they don't lose another game this year.

I dont think anyone was being sucked into the Creeks sitting at 2 and 4. They were never any danger whatsoever of not being one of the heavyweights come seasons end. Kellock and Mcgregor are in great form and the return of Sherwood and Moore has complimented there already strong midfield and forward line! Yank threw the challenge down to Mclarens and have shown them where they need to be if they want to compete come September also, theyll learn a fair bit from that i would think and will bounce back!

What a great season, Pongy again just going down showing that even one of the bottom sides can still regularly push teams above them! Our game with the dogs was a pretty scrappy game, great conditions at Compass but a tricky oval to play and very little space to work in. Schultz, Corbett and Pinyon are very good players and Parsons is strong and quick and has a booming kick. Big congrats to our defence, great to see us from early in the 2nd quarter missing our 3 key defenders in Haskett, Bennett and Cox along with Alexopoulos not playing either the guys that were there showed they are more than capable at A grade level.

Bye week and im sure everyones looking forward to a week off and refresh, hopefully the association side has a good crack at Strathalbyn against the 'Barbarians' from the SFL and hopefully keep a pretty good record going we have in association footy over the last 10 years.

Side will be picked tomorrow night. As usual there are the injuries and guys unavailable but the squad that trained last night looked pretty good! Young side but enough KPPs and plenty of pace and skill.

Should have a squad of around 30 to pick from and hopefully they represent the GSFL well on Saturday at Strath!

Agree with ya there watchdog. I'm tipping a yank v creek gf at yankallila this year. Yank have been doing zones for a few years that are hard to get around and seem to have recruited a fair bit again this year. Haven't seen mclaren yet but these two teams to me are the ones to beat. Looking at the creeks team from last week they would have had about 16 odd of there premiership team out on the park and with sherwood back that is a huge in. Also see benny mcleod has been cleared back to them which will be another key target to contend with up fwd.

Saw encounter bay on the weekend can't believe they are fourth on the ladder? Unless they had a few out on the weekend. There new recruits are holding them together. Neely is very handy in the middle hard at it all day, along with wilson who is a bit of a hog but gets a bit of it. And of course welsh who they look for at every opportunity as he marks everything that comes his way. Will be interesting to see if they stay in the 5 as they play all of the top 6 in there next 6 games coming up.

Below is the 22 players selected for the GSFL under 15's to take on the SFL at Strathalbyn on Saturday. This age group has had it pretty easy over the past 10 years against the RMFL, but this Saturday will be a huge challenge against a league with 16 clubs to choose from. Bradley Hill (Myponga)
Bryn Loots (Willunga)
Ben Ferguson (Mount Compass)
Liam Magor (Victor Harbor)

Can't question his commitment to play - but as he missed last week with a hammy, I hope common sense prevails.

was fantastic against Victor in round 1 - result would have been ALOT more than the 50 points if he didnt play.

Has only missed the best players once since then:

I'm a little surprised and dissapointed that Adam Hunter didnt make the team (was looking forward to watching him play). I would rate him as one of the better, if not best youngster within the association. Getting within the best 7/8 times would say he is awesome form. From the games ive seen this year he has been on a level of his own, but i guess thats just footy!! Good luck to the GSFL and hopefully we can win all 3 games!!
