Free Agency

Postby stan » Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:40 am

There are already a few names that have been thrown about. Jarred Rivers is one that is unlikely to be at Melbourne next year and one other rival clubs that are missing that key defender would be looking at. Being an SA boy I wouldnt be surprised if the crows were looking at him.

Anyway besides that there are a stack of names floating about where players have come out of contract when free agency has kicked in. I know Pendlebury and Cloke are big talking points from Collingwood and Goddard from St. Kilda has been linked to the GWS for a while.

So far I have heard of the following so others feel free to add to this list:

Goddard - GWS (although not free agency, he is still pissing off for cash)
Cloke - Anywhere the $$$ take him ;)
Pendlebury - GWS
Rivers - Anywhere but Melbourne
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Jamar, will end up at Collingwood IMO
Stanton is up for grabs, reports are he is close to signing a new 4 year deal at Essendon but will have to wait and see

Pretty sure Scott Pendlebury signed a new 4 year deal to stay at the Pies only recently. And as for Cloke, I think he'll remain a Pie and resist the lure of the huge cash from Fremantle.

With Jared Rivers, haven't heard that he wants out of Melbourne, but would only be an option for both the Power and Crows if he came cheap. A history of injuries and his age would put off many potential suitors.

Not to mention his ability or lack of it, wouldnt make either crows side or even port for that matter. He will remain a demon as no other club would want him

Chris Knights wont be at the Crows next year, reckon some teams in Melb would look at him at his best is dangerous. Might suit someone like the Doggies who lack goal kickers currently.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

that's actually disapointed me a bit. i wanted him at Collingwood next year. Although, the way Cam Wood has played in a couple games this season, i thiunk he may be coming of age and will be a handy ruckman for the future.
