If at least some of the current RAH site is going to be returned to parklands once the new Majorie Jackson (oops) RAH opens, then maybe should should enquire about establishing a ground there? Car parking is around and so is plenty of public transport. Plus, no need to displace another club. Obviously that's a few years away but there might be some scope to do this and have the ground used for community purposes as well given Adelaide Oval will, by then, be the Corporate Concrete Citadel.

It's not a sports field anymore ... has been transformed like Unley Oval so Sturt would be back to square one! :D

Seriously, plenty of people might be in a queue to utilise the hospital site once it is vacated by the current hospital, but getting in early might be worth thinking about.

Yeah, and move the pedal prix! They couldn't even upgrade the Britannia Roundabout because a few trees were slated to go.

Not a bad idea, once AFL moves to AO aren't some of the stands being knocked down to reduce capacity?

Would be interesting to know what it would cost the Sturt FC to play at Unley with the set up costs as opposed to putting on a match at Wayville. My point being that it would not be unreasonable to suggest that a match on a Friday night, early in the season in good weather played at Wayville could net the club a large home crowd similar to what Norwood might do early in the season at the Parade. If its about the best financial decision for the club then it would be interesting to hear what those numbers might be and if Sturt have bothered to look into it?

It's felt to me like all crowds are lower this year. I've been looking for the big rundown on crowd averages and totals, but presume they are part of the new and improved 'got to pay for that' package.

Sturt has themselves to blame. If Sturt had never left Unley maybe they would never be in this spot right now. They would still have fences around the oval and wouldn't need to hire them. I wish we could use the BBQ on game days near the scoreboard.

I think the Uni's do need the room to expand, and whatever they don't need might be desired by either the Botanic Gardens of the Zoo - I wonder how attendee percentages stack up there?
It is something of a tragedy that the Medical School will be separated from the hospital as it appears the funding is not there to co-locate the new RAH, The IMVS, and the Medical School on one site.
