If they owe the ATO money they will get shut down pretty quick the way they are acting tough in the current times.

I'd be happy enough for pokies to be taken out of pubs and locked up in members only club rooms.
That would support the clubs and reduce the total number of the damn things.

What we don't need is more of them in the community.
(And I'm happy for my Woolworths shares to take the resulting hit.)

Many community clubs are currently handing their pokies back or licensing them to other users.
They're not all rivers of gold.

One Strategy Sturt was exploring a few years ago, was running their own candidates in the Council elections. Maybe this one will be reconsidered now?

Also, IIRC Sturt wanted to play some night games at Norwood Oval in 2011, but it didn't transpire and I cant quite recall why just at the moment.

The ground sharing arrangement isn't silly at first glance, but as Jim05 said, it's a busy place.

The reason South could not play there was the Local Council would not allow it because of parking issues and so on. As I am aware it is the current headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Assocation of SA?

Would they be able to persuade enough locals to vote for their candidates?
I assumed that was why they didn't go ahead with it before..
