Nice try, ZM.
Jumbo's a Lofty boy.
Apparently coach apologised and said Jumbo won't play B's again.
And looking forward to his new restaurant that they 'braught'.

Why did the coach apologise?

Why did the coach apologise?
because he is a lofty favourate son and a good half back flanker. and should be in the 1s.

But he must've been dropped for a reason.........the coaching staff don't just forget about a player one week and then say "oh sorry, you're back in the A's again"???

You're an idiot ZM

Clearly don't know Jumbo, or you are Brero stirring the pot.

Nah, nah. Jumbo was away last year. Was one of (if not the best) FB the year prior.
He said he's missed a few trainings for various reasons.
APPARENTLY the coach was apologetic...MY assumption would be that some players/people around the club were flabbergasted that Jumbo was not in the A's, and made their voice heard.
I don't think he'd be in the B's again...not sure about that C's thing. That could well come into fruition when the restaurant gets in full swing.

Cheers JQ. It just seems a bit weird that a senior coach would apologise for something like that. He obviously made the decision based on some reasoning and I would've thought he would stand by that decision.

Ah, you know how it is. I don't think there's too much disharmony. Just when teams do really well, or poorly, it can be over-analysed.
Gimp - I agree, the whole 'apology' thing may be a bit of a hills rumour. But I'm a mate of Jumbo's and he didn't let on much, but I could tell he wasn't over-the-moon about the way it was. Mind you, he's worked his way back, after only 1 round.
He'll do real well again I reckon. But needs to be down back. Could be a handy FB again. When not serving food

Depends who the Coach apologises to.
The Committee/Pres/Player/Club/Supporters or all of the above. Different consequences depending on who the audience is.

Well, lads...don't read too much into it all, I reckon. The Grainge has some talent at his disposal, and you'll never please everyone. It's a lucky and good position to be in.
Good luck to all tomorrow.
Hope some of you make it to Goat Park tomorrow night, will be a great game.

not exactly sure what any of you are on about, jumbo told me himself he told the coach he didnt want to play A's this yr because he wont be able to train all the time and will be prob working sat nights and late afternoon, so b's were the only option.. obviously he is available in the A's until then.

mates at uris!! he's best mates with brero (in our B's) and matty smith (our b's runner). keep stirring Zac its all good fun.

if it is true that grainge apologized then i think it wouldve been for putting other players new to the club in the side ahead of him. but we're 1-0 in A's and B's so IMO no apology necessary.

pumped up for tomorrow night lads see you all there hopefully.

anti mt lofty

Postby the wonder elephant » Sat Apr 28, 2007 2:44 am

is there any other team in a 10 league comp ? all u blokes want to talk about os the candy stripes ! surley there are better things to be said such as ...........
1. how well will u devs go against the best coached side in the hills 4 me onkas will give u blokes a good run 4 your money collo will have there boys primed 4 this one ! conditions will make 4 a tight game and with onkas game plan around shee and contin there hardness around the ball may be 2 much for lofty 8) i will go out on a limb here and face a massive bath from u boys but think onkas will win :D :D
2. i think muffy will take some time to find his feet in the hills as it is a much tighter game up here .the ovals are not as big and flat up this way and allow 4 much tighter footy .if i/banks skills were a bit better last week the score would have been much tighter .not saying we would have won but the pressure around the ball was good but missed to many 1st give options .the boys have worked hard on the track at this and you will see a good show this week !!im tipping a thunderer win by 4 goals 8) 8)
3.good work to silky 4 getting his 1st league game all the best mate and may the force be with you.i am a norwood fan so hopfully we win and you have a blinder
4. big dion....12 goals r1 .i am ashamed i bagged him on mail i recieved from some people who had watched him last year 7 goals in the last quater i here could be on for a ton plus ..but will it be enough for loby this week against b/wood .the woods were most impressive last week .they basically had three ruckmen playing 1 on each zone .gigney did as he wanted in the backline and zoned off all day carberry did all the forwardline work and they had another one the same size running about in the middle very tough to match up on.salivic and nicky burne were also good around the ball >>my tip blckwood in a tight one
5.other tips uris to smash birdwood j.brown to kick 10+even if its wet and hahndorf to beat bridgy (ron when are your gun recruits coming re.kluzek boy and his merry men ? )
this all makes 4 a good round of footy good luck to all

p.s bring back red muff :D :D :D :D :D

TWE, you bag us about talking about lofty all the time and your first paragraph is about our game, well done mate. do agree tonights game will be a tough encounter onkas are a good team with a great coach. about onkas, hard to tell last week against a weak side (bird-woodEN SPOON) but how much will they miss klunny against the top few sides? he was awesome in this league in close.

no ones doubting muffy can play just the fact that people said he will dominate from word go, obviously he hasnt yet, good luck to him today.

Silky well done lad, all those jaegers have paid offf mate, gd luck today champ.

nothing needs to be said about browns 11 goals, we all know it wont be his last 10+ bag for the yr. got told the other day that uris have about 12 players that are still on SANFL clubs lists..
