Hi Guys. Just letting you know that the Gawler Angling Club is venturing down to Marion Bay this June long weekend, all are welcome. A special trophy for visitors will be on offer. New members are always welcome and this year is a special year as the club will celebrate 100 years with a special dinner at the Gawler Arms. The club undertakes a freshwater or saltwater comp each month. Meetings are held at Evanston primary school, 7.30pm, on the first monday of each month. At these meetings we discuss trips and arrange events. Dont hesitate to contact me if you have an interest or any questions, or find us on facebook.

Hi Guys, has anyone got any reports from the Lower Yorkes/Innes National Park? Gawler Angling CLub is venturing down for a club trip saturday 9.00am until 5.00pm Sunday. Weigh in at Marion Bay Caravan Park.

P.S. Squids, thanks for the St = salmon trout details.

Very few reports eminating from The Foot lately, but a good mate is a resident at MB & keeps me informed. ;)

He said the yelloweye mullet are still around the beaches in numbers. He hasn't ventured to Browns, Dlay's or Gym Beach for a while, but you'd suspect a late arvo/high tide scenario would give you a decent chance of nabbing a few sambos. Tommies would be everywhere and squid from Stenhouse or MB always a chance. Good luck mate! Great part of the state. 8)

PS; Plenty of fat KG's and squid at 'Hughes ATM, Dutchy. ;)

Yep.
No need to head deep as they are well and truly on the chew late arvos to the left of the jetty about a k or two.
Have a very good contact there and the pattern is the in coming tide from 3 onwards.
Be patient and it will happen.
Good luck.

Thanks Herder. Your more then welcome to come along if you want. Any ideas on what the baits are that are being used on the mullet? cockle? pilly? just mullet mix? not my favourite fishi in the sea by any means but if its all thats really around we may need to chase them.
