That's my perception too. Most poster here are in denial - "2nd best league" is a bit doubtful now - SA lost away and just won at home.

Who cares anyway! I follow Centrals in The SAFL, it's not a national league & I don't care for it to be & I think that most people on this site are of the same opinion.

Not talent wise but attitude wise, you're on the money.

I'm thinking this playing group has an unfortunate tendency to believe its own press and get ahead of itself fairly easily.

Isn't the N for National in sanfl referring to the national game, not it being a nation wide league?

I think most of us who support sides who opted out always thought the risks weren't worth it, but I at least was half expecting to feel like we might have missed out a little had someone really done well. The more it plays out though, the more foolish it seems to join and the positives are almost immeasurably small.

Before the AFL raped the game the governing body of Australian Rules Football was the National Football League, the National came from SA's affiliation with the NFL

That was when the VFL/AFL was a state comp.

Matty Sharpe & Jay Shannon have been at the club many years through juniours and into seniors recently.

Very disappointing to see them let go as they put alot of hard work and time into there footy that i suspect some others aren't
judging by recent performances.
