Never did he imply that those teams would beat all of the Country A sides and progress to Central - plus it could never be considered to have a 3rds side playing Central As!

Not dominating the comp but at least they have improved and have most grades which is far better than many others, and if you ask me is just as big a problem as the top 2-3 sides dominating most games. The HFL must do something and I'm confident changes will take shape soon. Gumeracha, Maccy, Sedan and Cally have stuff all junior teams... you just can not survive without kids coming through. Their B's are also struggling and/or are very old so the future really does not look good for them. For mine, if you can't fill 4 out of 5 teams then it's just not good enough. It really does hurt the other Clubs that do have the teams. Maybe this is where a 3rd Division could come into it?
In regards to evening up the A grade competition, maybe more player points should be allocated the lower you are on the table. I know it may not help the bottom 4 but as I said above, I think there are deep issues that need to be dealt with. Only having 2 player points difference between say Echunga/Kersbrook and Nairne/Meadows is just ridiculous. That equates to one extra player being recruited next Season which will not close the 20 goal gap far at all. Any thoughts?

Even worse was the fact that this appeared to go unnoticed by the leaders from the club in charge of our next generation of footballers.

From what I have heard some Aldinga folk aren't supporting SFL going to two divisions. Why would they want to change to another Div 2.

The Echunga Vs Nairne game was a very tough game of football and apart from 15 minutes in the first quarter and 3 late Echunga goals it was a really tight contest. There is no doubt the drizzling rain really limited fast flow on football. I was told it was a scrubber league but some of the ball movement from Echunga in these conditions was high quality and they would be competitive against most teams in our league (RMFL). Not one goal was scored in the third quarter and the attack on the ball during this time was quite scary. Loved watching a genuine contest between two committed teams.
