Goes to show what happens when a club shows zero respect to their opposition. Coaching staff need a rocket for the team they picked.

That said ..........

Congrats to Morningside who certainly finished the stronger (I only caught the last 8 minutes of game time and the Magpies hardly had a touch). It certainly meant a lot to them.

Panthers have now won 1 more Foxtel Cup game (2) than NEAFL games (1) this season.

Speaking of Panthers, all SANFL Foxtel Cup hopes now ride on South Adelaide

Well done PAFC Magpies - once feared now just a rabble. The quicker the AFL brings in a National Reserves Comp the quicker the carcass of the magpie can be buried once and for all.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Maybe we should have picked a team with more than 5 league regulars in it, and mainly bottom end league players like Rose and Young too.

Laughing stock of Australia, what a disgrace. Why enter the comp if you only want to use it as practice matches

I could understand Port resting the guys today who played in the state game last week.

That way everyone gets one week off and in the context of the SANFL season you need to have a week off at some point during a season.

If Port didn't do that
and won as expected this morning
they would have played a semi final on July 7
and even if they lost the Semi their first week off would have been August 4

Which would have been 19 games in a row, .. too many without a break.

Who outside of the state guys was rested by Port today (meaning they had a 3 week break)?

Pretty decent Magpies lineup. Most of the inclusions have played League or are pushing for selection.

Glad they had a pretty decent line up.

Many at the ground i talked to agreed we should have played all bar Clayton, Mieklejohn and Gray. Way to big of a break for our other league guys. Play them today let them get a good win to help give them a little confidence which we need.

Disgrace to South Australian Football, the Power might be happy as this is worse than losing to Gold Coast.

The whole club is a basket case.

Exactly. So why enter the comp in the first place? The once proudest club in the SANFL has been reduced to running around in front of an empty stadium before noon on a Saturday all at the behest of a TV company and being defeated by a side from Queensland. Very sad...

A bit rich.

Either is it a joke of a competition in which the SANFL clubs shouldn't bother or it is a ridgie didge comp in which the reputation of SA football is on the line.

Make up your mind.

It is a joke of a competition. In a few weeks no one will remember the outcome of today's game. No one will forget the first team to lose to Gold Coast.
