Information and complaints rarely work their way up hill via "proper channels"- nobody in any enterprise wants to risk the boss' disapproval by passing up negative feedback.mighty_tiger_79 wrote:but if the people involved in the broadcasts are reading constructive criticism on this forum then I would think it would be discussed. If they rely on feedback through the proper channels then it would make life easier for them as I dont think people generally go out of their way to do it

Yeah, but a road trip to the Gold Coast would be better than one to say Murray Bridge, the Barossa or whatever reigonal venue could be suggested

Oh well, as long as the 2 Phil's are happy then I'm happy ;-)

Even those whose job is something like Complaints Manager would be selective as what is called "shooting the messenger" still exists.
I've found, from my experience with making complaints myself and in dealing with WorkCover issues as a doctor, most of this blocking occurs in middle management.
So I always write or email directly to the CEO, bypassing middle managers, and it works:
- Hertz have given me a free one day hire.
- a UK publisher replaced a book I bought while in the UK that turned out to have pages missing at the back.
- Bonds have replaced a a dozen sets of underwear.
- the SA Premier of the day (Liberal) once intervened in a WorkCover case where a worker was being shafted - and in the worker's favour!
