Glenelg have lost four - Donnelly, Harwood, Willetts, Salopek
Centrals have lost three - Surjan, Lockwood, Paxman
North have lost 3 - Peel, Motlop, Gilligan
Port have lost two - Lobbe, Smith
South have lost 4 - Harwood, Perrie, Clarke, Parker
West have lost 2 - Schuback and Jericho
The clubs who have got the players are:
centrals - Donnelly
Glenelg - Parker, Harwood, Clarke & Schuback
North - Paxman & Perrie
Norwood - Jericho
Port - Surjan, Lockwood, Salopek, Harwood, Gilligan
Sturt - Smith
West - Willetts, Lobbe & M. Motlop
Eagles - Peel
I think the important thing common amongst all these players is that they were useless players to begin with or were good once but no longer. The point is, changing club has not helped their cause. The player and respective AFL club should consider that the SANFL coach will play them in the league side if they DESERVE to be in the league side. Many of these players are reserves standard at best.
Spot on.
Instead of the AFL clubs bitching about their players not getting a league game they should worry more about their recruiters picking up these duds in the first place
Too true I have always believed that the draft is a joke and taking 18 y.o.'s just out of school to play the big time is a farce. Yes you may get a gun player every now and then but they should not be drafted until the age of 21 or rookie list them but they play in an AFL reserves comp for their drafted club so clubs can find out if they are any good.
