Shoot Ian Healy!!

Postby Rik E Boy » Fri Jan 27, 2006 8:34 am

DO IT NOW. The guy is a to55bag. As a commentator Heals makes a great wicketkeeper. Every time I hear the guy barracking for the oppo, I feel more and more aggreived that Desmond Haynes didn't get to plant one on his oversized gob. Wicketkeepers should not be allowed anywhere near the microphone end of story.

Nice work by Tubby Taylor too during the Lanka v Saffies match. Saying how normal it was for NSW to beat Qld in a cricket final and rubbing it in about how good Healy's niece looks wearing NSW colours ha ha. SHOOT IAN HEALY. Just when I thought it was impossible for anyone to come anywhere near Tony Greig in the fuggnuts stakes, along comes this twit. :x

REB

Easy REB. Healy might be bad, but is he as bad as Good old Jim when watching the tennis?

Heals started out ok as a commentator, then as his confidence grew he got progressively worse and worse.

This is disgracefel, sledging an Aussie icon, who himself was one of the best sledgers of all time... Surely our Aussie Cricketers, even if they are past cricketers, should be sacrosant?

OK, maybe shooting the bloke is a bit harsh but still, great cricketers don't necessarily make great commentators. One of my favourite players was Doug Walters, I'd heard he was one of the great characters in the game but when he got in front of the mike he was boring as bat5hit.

The channel 9 commentary team will be unbearable in a few years (if it isn't already), headlined by...

Mark Taylor
Ian Healy
Simon O'Donnell
Mark Nicholas

Shoot them all!

For starters, bring in...

Michael Slater
James Brayshaw
Kerry O'Keefe (not sure how his commentary would go on TV)

KOK should be on the tele, he was great in England! Greatest laugh I've ever heard.

Hopefully Slats signs up for a long time, he is a fantastic commentator. Healy is a big shocking at times, he tends to get far too excited, I'm glad I'm not sitting next to him in the commentary box...

20/20 is good for a hit and giggle, should be used as a once off before a one day series. I hope it never becomes a permanent fixture, a 20/20 world cup would be sad for cricket.

Plus the Redbacks got spanked in both games and Victoria won it!

James " look-at-moi" Brashaw is pathetic, his mumble mumble snigger snigger dig dig stlye is influenced by Sam Newman and will only ever be used to bring a fellow commentator/player/ex-team mate down.Best keep that humour for the locker room and your team mates Bray.

Kerry O'Keefe laughs at his jokes more than REB and Jim Courier do,he he.

Ian Healy is a tool, the only thing missing from his closet is a NSW blue cap, then all the pieces would fall into place......
