If the SANFL wanted to get a few more through the gates today would it have been worth their while having free or discounted entry to anyone holding an SANFL club membership? I ain't forking out $14 to go and watch that today.

I think you show your membership and admission is $10.

They do, as Doc has pointed out above.

Why wouldn't you go to see the best the SANFL has to offer?

Does $4 make that much difference?

:-?

EDIT:

Due to injuries or lack of interest? As mentioned, best on offer, as in available for this game.

Spare a thought for Pensioners and Concession Card holders
Not so long ago it was
$8 General Admission
$2 For Pensioners + Concession Card holders

$8 to $14 is a hike of just under 50 %
$2 to $8 is a 400% increase [hope my maths is right ?]

Thats happened in about the last 2-4 years
Thats scary
At this rate , by about 2015ish ,given the same increases again, it would equate to Pensioners + Concession Card holders paying more the General Public

How have the attendances been this season? Has the price rise affected how many people are attending the SANFL? Perhaps the Crows success so far has also taken some people away from the SANFL? Or are crowd numbers still strong?

Is it true the price rise is due to Port Adelaide's bailouts ???

Technically, you are not. You work out the increase relative to the original price.
There are two issues; the % increase, and the final ratio of prices which may rise faster off a low base.

In the first case the increase is $6 on an $8 base and 6/8 x100 = 75% increase - new price now 175% of original (14/8x100).
In the second the increase is $6 on $2 - 6/2x100 = 300% increase - but the new price is now 400% of original (8/2x100).

Interestingly, the SANFL is behaving in a similar manner to how the state government is with water and electricity.
