I hope not. Don't need another Davenport or Harding type player running around for us.

Can someone explain the transfer fee that Glenelg are asking for? i remember when Sturt had a power player a couple of years ago that wasnt happy playing in the reserves and got transfered to South, i dont think Sturt asked for a transfer fee as he was a power player. i suppose glenelg need to pay off the lights somehow.

While a Power player he is also a listed Glenelg player and asset.

Mitch Farmer  where is he these days :?

I don't know if we got any money from that one. I would assume we did.

IIRC West Adelaide received money for Luke Jericho to transfer to Norwood.

Well he's playing ressies, so he can't be that much of an asset to them.

I think it comes down to the time they are at the club, the first 2 or 3 years they can be moved free of charge by the AFL club (normally to the lowest ranked SANFL side), after a certain period (lets say 4 years) the player can chose where he wants to go but faces an SANFL transfer fee.

What club wants a player who only wants to play 'bruise free' football when he's not playing AFL?

No loss to the Bays, free's up a spot in our ressie's for a kid.

I have no problems with the Dogs having a crack at Salopek BUT for the roughly 20K transfer fee i would want to be strongly guarenteed by the Power he will be allowed to play finals and not be pulled out.

I think the transfer fee for Salopek is only about 4/5 grand. I could be wrong tho

Sal is shot. Good luck to the club that picks him up.

Been a good servant when he's played for Glenelg. Wish him all the best.

$5k maybe, but not $20k unless he can play full forward and kick 60 plus goals.

I'm sure Jericho left West during the season and went to Norwood. At the time he was still with the crows and at the end of the season the Crows got rid of him and he stayed at Norwood :?

With this I could not agree more strongly. Lining up for a club one week then lining up against them the next is ridiculous and undermines the integrity of the competition. And yes, I know my mob has benefited from mid-season transfers in the past. Doesn't mean I agree with it.
