Why?
I think its pretty clear that they get an armchair ride at home.
And Yes we normally get a good run at home but the Coasters even won the free kick count against us despite losing by 10 goals ;)

Must be something in having the Eagle as a logo, seems to happen a bit in other competitions too (*cough* SANFL)

Not whinging, just stating a fact.
Watched the game with a couple of Eagles mates and they actually think its funny, they call it the "Eagle Flop" and are quite proud that their boys con the umps.
There is no doubt they stage a lot and get the frees, good luck to them if they can get away with it, with the competition as tight as it is any little advantage is a bonus

And i believe home prelims will be huge so if WC or Adel can get one they would be a huge show.

Big ones i believe are no show are Sydney and Carlton. You'd have to be an idiot to write of Collingwood or Geelong but at the minute neither setting the world on fire.

But if i had to pick 1 it would still be the Hawks

Loooooooooooooooooong way to go

Agree Carey, other than I reckon Collingwood are probably second in line behind the Hawks.

Forwards - Good but not consistent.

No soup for you! Next! Great ep.

But seriously, they're sitting 5-3 and could easily be 7-1.
One loss to the reigning premier by two points and one to the ladder leader by 5.
They've had one bad game against the Swans, who were on top of the ladder at the time.
Other than that, they've knocked off a grand finalist and the most improved team in the competition in Adelaide, which hasn't lost since.

All this with their captain still to come back in and have an influence.
If they're crap, then it doesn't say much for those other teams.

Write the Hawks off at your own peril REB. ;)
