couldn't say, I did a predictor on the AFL site before the Ad v Syd game and came out with Ad finishing 3rd and a Hawks / WC GF... I think. Might have to do another predictor after the Ad V Collingwood game. WC worry me with their huge injuries, they've done a huge job to still be top, HUGE job! Collingwood may start to fade with more injuries this week. Season opening up beautifully for others, mainly Adelaide, Essendon and Hawthorn

I'll say Hawthorn as they have the x-factors (Franklin, Rioli etc) who can turn it on in September.

It is quite open though - Collingood, WCE and Adelaide will also fancy their chances.

I am on the West Coast bandwagon. They are only going to become stronger at the pointy end of the season. Plenty of quality players out; Priddis/Kennedy/Embley etc

That home ground advantage is massive. Concerns about playing in Melbourne I think they have the maturity to win the flag.

(I wrote off the Hawks in round 2 and will stick to it.)

Agreed- watching tonight they still got a charmed run with the umps when St Kilda were dominating play in the 3rd. Quite amazing.

If they finish top 2 they are montys to make the GF

Crows have a very easy draw, if they don't make top4 from here it will be a poor season for them.

Essendon. This season has some echos of 93 about it for mine. I reckon the Crowies can go a long way and that West Coasts and Collingwood's injuries will catch up with them. Sydney are a major contender but I'm thinking it's a year too much for the Cats and the Hawks continue to be monumentally overrated. I reckon Carlton have been found out a bit with teams putting 'inside' pressure on the line breakers and the Dockers can't score enough goals.

Plenty of Interstate finals with a lot of interstate teams butting into each other while Essendon gets a saloon passage into the Granny.

Essendon v Adelaide with the Bombers getting up.

Sorry I couldn't provide you with more information. ;)

Will be hard for us, we have a tough draw to finish and cant see us getting a top 2 spot. West Coast and Crows will finish Top 2 meaning we would have to win 2 finals interstate to make a GF and our record away from Melbourne is apalling

Essendon, Adelaide and Collingwood the teams that have the best shot IMO.

West Coast and Hawthorn looking at a Prelim if things go their way then anything is possible for them.

Carlton have slipped and Sydney are going to miss top 4 and that makes it tough.

Geelong cant be written off and if they get 5th or 6th and stay in Melbourne week 1, look out who ever they get week 2.

IMO the betting should be :

Essendon
Adelaide/Collingwood/Hawthorn
West Coast/Geelong
Carlton/Sydney
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Well to win it you first must make it!

And i believe home prelims will be huge so if WC or Adel can get one they would be a huge show.

Big ones i believe are no show are Sydney and Carlton. You'd have to be an idiot to write of Collingwood or Geelong but at the minute neither setting the world on fire.

But if i had to pick 1 it would still be the Hawks

Loooooooooooooooooong way to go

Shaping up to be tighter than the proverbial, a situation we've not been used to in a long, long time.

Flag will be won by the team who get's the breaks at the business end of the season .. I'd be leaning at this stage, toward the Grand Finalists coming from West Coast, Hawthorn or Collingwood

Home prelim's did adelaide no favours in 2006 and St. Kilda in 2005 so anything is possible.

With the 5 goal advantage the Eagles get from the umps at home they are near certainties to play in the GF if they finish Top 2.
