Borders run out of coin. also lost an onballer who is leaving too. that's what happens when u pay ridiculous amounts of money for players.
So you've seen everything have you?

There was a big bloke sitting on the sidelines by the name of Paul Smith who might have made a bit of a difference up forward for Borders. But you are correct, there is a bit of work to be done. Look out for Corey Burr and Kieran Flanigan this year, both little blokes but they have a fair bit of talent between them.

Fantastic result by K/L over Lucindale.

Keith will be around the mark. They were apparently very good even without the win.

Rest of the matches went as expected, really.

I don't think you will be seeing him on the sidelines or on the field for BDT anymore AD, clearance to Goolwa approved...is that the rat jumping off a sinking ship???

Yeah huge loss for Borders, will finish any slim chance of them seeing finals action this year. Also P32 ,just for anyone a little confused , like me, BDT and Border Districts are not the same team, BDT are Border Downs Tintinara who play in the Malleee League.
Great to see Keith back up as genuine contenders, should be a cracker game against their traditional Tatiara rivals Bordertown this week.

I've been told he was asked to take a pay cut, 5 goals in 5 games and a complete lack of fitness and work ethic the deciding factor. He didn't like it so was told not to bother coming back. Is now on less money at Goolwa anyway.

Safe to say I overestimated where BDT were at overall. Probably should have watched a game of KNTFL not involving us before I made comment. Injuries have been a prick but we're well below the tatiara teams, K/L and Padthaway.

Kaniva 8goals 17 behinds says it all Obviously couldn't seal it when the game was in the balance.

Would have thought there'd be a bit of debate here about the Kingston/Penola game, anyone here know the guys involved (no names of course for the Penola player, have to wait for official charges to be laid on the culprit if that is the case).

Two of the three papers covering the league (but not the Penola paper, coincidentally. Who gave the incident (and the fact the game was called off early) almost zero coverage didn't even get the score for the game right) have made it front page news. 17 year old Kingston David Werner was the victim.

I was at the game but am unsure what has happened since.

Minor incident several weeks earlier a young player (17) hit in a contest by same person no major harm done though! Will be interested to see the outcome of this; cannot think of many incidents in KNT over last 3 or so years and seems to have been a few already this season!

Another draw to Padthaway, this time at home to K/L.

Across the border at Goroke, Lucindale ran out winners 27.10 (172) to Border Districts 18.9 (117).

Travis Ware for Lucindale and Clint 'Boomer' Barras for Border Districts 10 goals each.

Is Clint Barras any relation to Geoff Barras that came from the Kaniva Area, lived in Horsham back in the early 80's and played for Murtoa.

Possibly- he played for Bordertown before us, and Kaniva is in the area.

Just an amazing player to watch when he's on. About 5"8 and 70 kilos dripping wet but very quick and incredibly smart on the ball. Was pinging them from everywhere, left and right foot, yesterday.

Thanks for that. Geoff was about 6'3 CHF/CHB and could play the game.

Kingston break through for a droughtbreaking win- their first since 2010 if I recall correctly. Kingston 16.4 (100) d Border Districts 12.17 (89).

Borders gave up six of the first seven goals of the game and came home hard in the last, but Kingston to their credit held on.

It's a prick of a game sometimes.
