Can anyone comment on this game? i thought Mitcham had hit some form over the last couple weeks and this would have been a very close game.

I went out and watched the Mitcham game on the weekend and fair to say Athelstone dominated all day. They were clearly more hungry for the ball and were more desperate at contests. It doesnt help when Mitcham have so many outs but still that isn't an excuse. They will bounce back this week with some key players to come back in...I think you may see at least 5 A grade players from last year come back into the side who are key players...I will say this though, I love a bit of footy banter between sides and the OCCASIONAL humerous comment directed at the opposition team...but to the feral Athelstone supporters who sat club side at mitcham and said the same old, lame, boring comments all day long at every opportunity they could should just wait because a footy season is a long year and im sure it will come back and bite you. I dont think it was necessary using that sort of language around children and around the family area at the club...i did enjoy one comment though which was directed at Mitchams ruckman "Shrek called and wants his arse back"...Poor man has had all confidence shattered!!

I think if you have a fair few outs in your A grade and the next week you could have 5 key a grade players back is a fair excuse. The thing that stopped mitcham going any further last year was there outs, if they can fit and healthy towards the business end of the season they would be a real contender.

They will have to give the team they played the points. It's a bit unfair for a team to cheat against another be found guilty and and to receive the points

It's unfair on all the other clubs to award three clubs premiership points they did not earn.

At the end of the day, these clubs didn't lose because Kilburn were a couple of points (ie. one player) over.

Margins from wins were 70, 29 & 82. I don't think any of those losing teams could claim a right to those premiership points.

The punishment of Kilburn (and subsequent setting of precedent) should have as neutral effect (as possible) on the other nine clubs.

Would depend on whether or not the games are called forfeits, or if the points are stripped. Two different results for the 3 other teams involved in would think.

32.8 If a team of a Club exceeds the Total Points Rating allocated to it, in any game played
by its Senior (A Grade) Team the following penalties will automatically apply:
32.8.1 In the event that the team wins – the loss of all premiership points, earned
for that game, the loss of all points scored by the team in that game, plus a
fine of $1,000.00.

Does this mean that the other teams may not get the premiership points but with get a % boost as kilburn will have effectively scored 0 in those games.......
