The team is feeling FISHtastic after round 5 after the late arrival to Division III now heads the ladder and is in career best form and looking a favourite to participate in Division II next season. It is a far cry from previous seasons when many of us looked right and left and wondered where did that Fishy go. He goes wherever I may go. Harrynutts won their 20th consecutive minor round match and they have never lost a match in the minor round in their Hogg career which is a remarkable record. The luckless FridayKnightFool went within seven points of recording what would have been a historic defeat on macca.
While blokes like Fool and Trader and Lodgelads can't take a trick, my Cat Empire somehow remains unbeaten even though my mob are really stinking up the place this year. In my latest Bradbury I got over the line against Holland's Heros but I have a feeling my luck will run out soon. Crab Mustard, WLF and The Willies all look better sides than the Empire so there are plenty of teams that will probably end up with what I'm laughably calling my top four spot.
Pump up ze Jams finally opened their account this week against the Goonies who have yet to record a decent score but the Giraffes had an improved match even though they got a case of the Crabs. Trader won his second on the trot and could go on to do some damage after his slow start and the Lodgelads are another side batting well but not making runs.
