I am a fair way of the scene but the talk in Sydney is that the current Australian coach will be named after the world cup

can the redbacks aford to gamble on an inexperienced coach?

that sounds like the right strategy

recruit an inexperience coach
who will recruit victorian cricketers
instead of developing our own

Presumably Berry would only get the job if Wayne Clark or Buchanan weren't interested.

Darren Berry WILL not coach SA if he is to bring some vics with him it goes against the mantra of the Sate selection panel and presumably the board where players have to earn their stripes in grade cricket first

The Redbacks had a disastrous season but i think they do have a few worth developing, especially the Borgas brothers and the 2 spinners. Others such as Ferguson and Cosgrove need to pull their finger out as well, but who knows with the correct mentor might live up to their reputation/potential as well.

With 4 guys on CA contracts there is suddenly going to be a lot more money to spend  Is Blewett going to be paid out? He won't play for SA again so why not pay out his contract and be done with it.
