Norwood continue their amazing record of no defeats in league and reserves (and U18's I believe) for 2012. :ymapplause:

Good to get the win. Very scrappy game with both sides skills not great.
Both sides played loose men in defence but Norwood seemed to have more intent going forward.
Would of thought West may have attacked more, when they got it in quick their bigger bodied forwards put our defense under pressure.
Not a game for the highlights tape but happy to take the points and move on to next week against Sturt where our recent record isnt great.

West played a good 2nd quarter and I thought it might end up tight but we kicked 3 goals in the first 5 minutes of the third qtr and then West probably went a bit defensive, they had plenty of the ball but several times they had the ball on the half forward line and had to hold up play so their forwards could run into the 50m area.
To kick 1 goal in a half of football isnt great

The first half was pretty good from Westies I thought they competed well but very poor in the second half. 1 goal in the second half and 5 for the game. Not good enough. The skill difference between the sides was enourmous.
Westies back line was pretty good tonight. Hartlett looks really good and is having his best season since coming back to the club. Tippett is playing well at full back and I thought they both won their positions. The forward line is a worry, Brad Fisher looks dangerous but the rest were never in the game.
Norwood won the midfield easily. Norwood without a doubt the premiership fav at this early stage. I think the bloods can push for a finals spot this year but they are a fair way of Norwood in most areas of the game.

Must thank 1 West supporter for an enjoyable night.
When West went 2 goals to 1 up in the first quarter this guy was ripping into a couple of Norwood players so i chirped back that his mob would still be lucky to kick more than 5 goals for the match. He responded with "I will bet you $20 we do" seemed like a stupid bet at the time.
And Yes he paid up!
Had a decent chat to him after the game and seemed like a good bloke

Thought Webb looked ok just needs a bit of mongrel in him, decent lump of a lad.

Norwood people, any truth in the rumor that Benny Warren is about to pull the pin?

I think Webb has been dissappointing for us. Has moments of brilliance but too many times during a game he goes missing. No goals from him tonight and I think he only took 3 marks. We have a player in the 2s who had kicked 15 goals in his last two games Michael Still, but Collo wont play him.

Webby started in the ruck and got 25 hit outs. Spent a lot of the time on the bench when not in the ruck.Maybe if you went to a match you would have some idea. Still is injured.

And to think West started the game as the second ranked side in the SANFL!

Norwood continue to impress and after they pumped us I don't feel so bad about that loss given the Bays and West served up worse performances in their losses to the Legs.

God help us but the MONSFAW crowd will be starting to clear their throats for a September assault!

You probably read it on here a few weeks ago from the same poster who asked the above question. What happened to your good mail Bunton or are you just stiring? Everything I have heard is he is really enjoying himself.

I thought against North he was very good and he changed my opinion of his value to Norwood because I thought he was past it and was going to be an "injury filler" at best.

Why would he pull the pin now? He has done the hard yards pre-season and is playing in an unbeaten side which is clearly the flag favourite? That would be a very nice change from his time at South!
