1st v 5th or 3rd v 4th.

Both good candidates for match of the round

2 great games. Both worthy of match of the round. Both games very high importance. Glenunga vs WC. A win for Glenunga will see them consolidate in the 5 by 3 games + Percentage. Which is massive considering there would have only been 5 games played. A win for West Croydon will see them hold their spot in the 5. So alot to play for for both teams. In the other game a win for Brahma Lodge means a top 3 spot, whilst a loss could see them drop out of the 5. A win for Hope Valley would give them a firm standing in the top 3, whilst a loss brings them right back to the pack. Things are heating up.

My bad, I didnt realise tips go in another thread.

Looking at the ladder I would think that Brahma V Hope Valley would be a cracker of a game. Does anyone think there will be a blowout game where someone gets smashed? Sorry about all the questions... I have been looking at this site for a while but have never had internet at home to create an account. :)

Traditionally D5 matches have been pretty even since HV have joined the comp, with the odd big win every now and then.

Out of this weeks games, if fitzroy bring their A Game i dont think rosewater have the ability to stick with them and could get blown away late......Glenunga handed us a fair hiding and if they bring that against west croydon that could be a bit of a blow out also.

IMO the other games should be very tight.

I think the forecast of rain and cold for Saturday will help Rosewater they did have some strong bodies from what i saw couple of weeks ago and like the game played as a scrap. Havent seen Fitzroy yet having said that. Also like Hope Valley in those conditions too they played wet weather footy very well against the hawks the other week. I Dont think there will be a blow out this week.

Didnt factor in the wet forecast.....wouldnt surprise me to see 5 tight games given the nature of D5 footy over the last 1-2 years...

Very interesting comment. Glenunga know they face their toughest test to date. Will be extremely happy to get away with the 2 points. West Croydon are a quality team and Glenunga expect a very tough contest come saturday. Not sure of your sources on this one demon?

Stirring the pot i think...
This will be a great game of footy, West Croydon are definitely no pushovers and think if Glenunga go to the game with the attitude they are going to win easily, they might get a surprise...

I see Chris McLean from Willaston in the BLG has signed for Fitzroy.
What a waste of talent playing Div 5 in SAAFL.
He was a dominant player in the BL&G and should slaughter teams in this division.
I think he has a cousin playing for Fitzroy and the coach know's him.
Left Willaston in a hurry I believe as issues with his missus hating the club due to some late night's out with the boys and issues with a certain netballer.
Will watch with interest how he goes.
