Noticed Andrew Warnest kicked 2 goals for Mannum today, I don't think he's played for a couple of years.

They're forming a pretty handy squad, especially given player losses in the off season.

yep trained for the first time Thursday night, good to get a zero pointer back with all the losses we had over the pre season, will be interesting to see mannum against imps and ramblers now.

Some big margins, I doubt Motlop thought this coaching caper would be quite this tough.

I'd imagine most coaches would find it difficult taking on the reigning premiers at their home ground and having no bench through injury midway through the 2nd qtr.

Credit to imps though they set the game up with an explosive the first qtr.

Went to Mannum today thinking we were a chance, but found ourselves 98points down at half time. The combined silk and hesian department of the Roos midfield gave us a fair bath. Their first half was some of the best football i've seen in the RMFL. Thankfully Mypo showed character in the last half and gave repectibilty back to the scoreboard. Time to regroup this week against Jervois.

i disappeared for a 10 minute period in that first quarter and mannum booted 6 goals while i was gone, first half was awesome by mannum, mypo certainly showed a bit in that second half, if only they'd played like that in the first.

I think half of the Mypo team left with you in that 1st quarter Anzacspirit....They were a rabble, but the 2nd half was very impresive from Mypo. Surprised to see no one tagging Harvey and Pech, between them they had around 60 Kicks....

Harvey is untaggable anyway, very tough, runs all day and if someone does get the better of him for a while he's not scared to hand out a couple sly little punches to break the tag

After going down to Tailem Bend, Jervois now appear to be in more strife than the Bali Nine.

After watching Meningie yesterday I reckon that they have gone backwards from last year but will obviously be better with Motlop and McLeod. Found it really interesting that Motlop left his group addresses to his assistant coach. It is hard to see them winning many matches on that performance and it is incredible to think the two teams with coaches with AFL experience are likely to be winless after round 5. Goes to show that coaching is not any easy caper. What odds that one of them pulls the pin before the end of the year??

It didn't seem like he played on the weekend so why wouldn't he address the team himself???

I'll put my money on the fact that neither will due to the needing the money more than needing the wins.
Meningie have bought themselves into a hole and will be regretting this move for a very long time, already their fans have seemingly lost interest and therefore mcleod may be an over capitalisation if the money he's reported to be on is even close.

I struggle to understand how that much quality can be in one side and they can't win a game. Im sure they will become more competitive but they will not set the world on fire. My tip for the highest paid wooden spoon in a single season Im afraid.
Motlops assistant hahahaha he also comes up once a week from Adelaide and doesnt do it for free...

I take it you're referring to the muddy waters of mixing his role with his weekend activities.... anyway you're right lets move on as the bears have tried and so far failed dismally after three starts.

Missed the Mannum game on the weekend but some of the stats are mind boggling  As reported on here its estimated 'Diddles' and Pech had 60 kicks between them. O'Malley had 45 touches and was sick from sunlight the day before. Interesting not to see Hales amongst the goals after Jones pulled out also. I've heard young Tonkes may have an injury? but has signed at Mannum for the next 5 years to be closer to his new girlfriend, which is good news for Mannum as he looks like a player.

My mail is he needs a 5 year deal to allow her to have a few more birthdays, so to be old enough to get into the Mannum disco as an 18yo.... As for injuries I think it was a "SOFT" tissue injury, young Tonkes got early in the 3rd quarter.

Signed for 5 years to be closer to a 'New' girlfriend? Jeepers, thats only likely to end in disaster. Especially if she is so young as suggested

The only mail I have is the one going around Chris Halls neck.
Reported to have 15 votes after 4 games.

"Our Hally, players only have skills like him in heaven,
hallowed be his name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in Mannum.
Give him the Mail, the RMFL mail medal,
and forgive the umpires,
As we can’t forgive them that try to strike him.
And lead Hally not into temptation of getting reported,
but deliver him from doing a hammy
The roos and the glory
Amen"

Did catch young Sam watching the netball on Saturday before his game. Good feeling in the clubrooms on Saturday night and loved overhearing hard man 'Diddles' Harvey after a couple of beers tell some of the boys his thoughts. By memory, it was 'fear of spiders is arachnophobia, fear of tight spaces is called claustrophobia and fear of 'Diddles' is called logic!' Sent the room into raptures...
