where do you get "6 maybe 7 clubs...have turned away from this JokeFest" when referring to the Foxtel cup? as far as i am aware there are still only 9 clubs in the SANFL, three of which participated last season, and one stated they would have given the opportunity.

three clubs also chose to participate this season, and as far as i am aware North Adelaide would have again participated if all the spots werent filled before hand (i may be wrong, but i dont remember them stating they didnt want to play) that leaves only 5 clubs, out of 9, and possibly 4 (i also dont know if Sturt changed their views this season, i only know they declined last season) that dont want to play (this year). that isnt 6, or 7. thats nearly half (or just over half if sturt changed their minds) that support it....

i reckon you need both a maths lesson and a lesson in humility. why dont you go back to just lurking, i was enjoying the peace around here since the season started and the eagles have been shown to be incompetent  you will look pretty effing stupid if the eagles fail to make the finals this year, and as they are "rebuilding" decide the foxtel cup is a good way to blood youngsters next year. (be aware i said if, i am not presuming to write them off just yet, or claiming to have a crystal ball that tells me they will change their mind)

One would suggest that the WAFC entered the competition intending to win it, why a side would be picked with so few regular players is an interesting one.

There are likely three scenarios,

First off maybe a WAFC member might be in a position to comment, yet one would think that Collins has the final say on the selection of the league side?

If so then scenario A, is that Collins can not coach nor select sides and got thrashed accordingly,

B, Collins deliberately threw the match and disrespected the clubs colours accordingly.

C, Collins was ordered to pick that side by others in the Administration of the club who think he needs assistance to coach.

In either scenario its not a good look for the club, I recall many good clashes in the past between SANFL sides and VFL sides, Sturt vs Carlton and Port vs Essendon come to mind, where the players gave their all for the club and I would expect nothing less from the WAFC, to see this done to the WAFC jumper demands a response from the CEO, the sooner the better if West want to be taken seriously by the public in terms of getting people involved and wanting to come out and support them as a club. To deliberately throw a match smacks of contempt and demands a response IMO.

Do you think South would pick a full squad if they had to go to Perth this weekend?
