Good to see the rivalry hasn't simmered in the year's I've been away. Smithfieled still run by bikers????

Sorry to say Bondy, but I hate Smithfield with a passion, and I'm sure the feeling's mutual. Having said that, best of luck for this season - just not too much.

U guys will be looking forward to meeting us again after we trounced u in the semi last year? One of the clubs greatest days, besides the premierships.

Run by bikers? I don't think we have any bikers affilaited with the club so i'm not sure what u have heard these days. Yeah, i don't mind u guys hating us, all good. better for me when u hate us. Somehow play better in those situations. And yeah the feelings mutual when it comes to the other northern clubs as well as college sides and old scholars.

Round 3-Central United will be too good for Greenacres
Brahma Lodge to demolish Glenunga
Kenilworth just at home to Smithfield
Lutherans to be too quick for the Lions
Plympton easily in a waterbag trip for the Eagles.

I still beleive it will be a different story in the second half of the year.teams with more depth will win more games after the first 5 rounds or so (It showed last year with mitcham, para hills and elizabeth)

In the magoos

Round 3-Central United to inflict pain on Greenacres
Brahma Lodge by 15 goals
A confident Kenilworth should prove too good for Smithfield
Lutherans easily over Fitzroy
Elizabeth by 10+ goals over Plympton

Good luck to all this weekend.

Agree, the rest of the teams in the competiotion could beat each other on their given day I reckon, but Glenunga look in trouble at the moment.

Yeah simular to last year,if not a bit better. They have a few new recruits.I beleive the standard of the league has improved across the board this year and looks to be more even.

We played at smithfield on the weekend and had 3 fairly severe knee injuries, the week before we played at home and we had another player injure his knee. Do u guys think that the hardness of the ovals due to the water restrictions is contributing to these injuries or is it just bad luck? Considering this is amateur footy and people also have to work to make money to support their families etc, do you think that if the ovals dont improve and injuries keep consistently occuring will numbers in this league decrease? what is the answer?
