When having a set shot yesterday, late in the game
removed his mouth guard , placed it in his sock, b4 shooting for goal
Dunno how often he does this interesting quirk

Question is :
Does removing your mouth guard actually help with goal kicking accuracy ?

Just about every forward who wears a mouth guard does this and has done for as long as Ive watched football.

cant believe it isnt obvious really, to breathe? sucking the big ones in is everyones habit, esp when ur running surely?LMAO

The third quarter obviously set up the win for South. The clearance work and work rate by them in that quarter was very good. They have that quick group of midfielders, which carve you up if they win some clean ball.

Brett Ebert was very good, easily his best game of the year. To be honest his form hasnt warranted a call up to the AFL before now.

The running session done by Port last week, was done on Sunday morning, and it wasnt that tough. I believe the comment about not being fit enough is valid, and something that needs to be addressed immediately. I would have expected Port to run over South in the second half considering, South were only had 20 men from the 5 min mark of the first quarter, and 19 men from half time.

In regards to Wilson he is down in the dumps and struggling for form, but to his credit he is working hard, and did some good team orientated things in the reserves.

Special mention to James Brain playing his first senior game for Port on the weekend, had 20 odd possessions and laid some fantastic tackles, and was pretty good.

Okay, thanks for that. I had just heard 'they were flogged on the track with running' so assumed it was during the week.

I was impressed with his tackling, very strong for a little fella. Finished with 13 touches, 7 tackles, 4 clearances and 3 inside 50's. Not a bad debut at all.

According to the club stats he had a little more of it than the champ data suggest (19 touches and 9 tackles)

Yep no probs...a reprimand........justice done again.
Murphy who was the victim in this incident was quite ill post game and had to be driven home, obviously suffering concussion.

Mitch Sandery facing a 2 week suspension for an incident no one at the ground even saw.
