Was at the Port Melbourne v Werribee game. 9 goal first quarter to the Borough set up the game.
Werribee looked very ordinary for most of the day. Port could defintley run with sides 3-5 in the SANFL but might struggle against the top two.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I watched port Melbourne today break the record for longest winning streak in VFL history with out there top 2 players. I knowing the SANFL very well, port Melbourne would smash centrals and the eagles.

Was great to watch some footy, albeit on TV, at Victoria Park on Saturday.
North Ballarat took three quarters but they eventually overcame a woefully inaccurate Collingwood.
Nathan Brown was promising for the Pies in his first game since the 2010 AFL premiership.

I have followed Port Melbourne for years and love my SANFl what I have seen with Port over the last 12 months has been something very special and would definatley be competitive against a middle postioned AFL side and would smash the best 22 that GOld Coast and the Greater Waste of Space Giants could put on the field together..

I think you are dreaming if they would be competitive against a mid range AFL team. I was at North Port Oval when they beat Werribee. They are good but not that good think you are kidding yourself in that department

Seems the Frankston Footy club could be in a bit of hot water......

Frankston Football Club supporters accused of ‘disgusting' racist slurs

A VFL club is caught up in racism allegations after fans allegedly targeted opposition players at the weekend.

An AFL-listed player accused supporters from the Frankston Football Club of making racist slurs against players from the Coburg VFL side during yesterday's match.

Richmond player Andrew Browne said on Twitter the fans made the comments to players in the quarter-time and three-quarter time huddles.

"Frankston supporters were disgusting. There is no place in the game for some of the comments made," Browne tweeted.

"Racist comments. People coming up to the huddle during the breaks having a go at individuals."

Coburg general manager Jake McCauley last night said the club had referred the matter to AFL Victoria.

"The Coburg Football Club has been in contact with the AFL Victoria, and the Frankston Football Club, regarding some concerns with supporter behaviour during today's VFL match between Coburg and Frankston," Mr McCauley said.

Frankston president John Barry said he had not heard about the allegations.

"I haven't heard anything about it at all, it's quite surprising," Mr Barry said.

I attended a VFL match at Victoria Park in 2009 and I was surprised at how close the fans could get to the team huddle during the breaks so close that in fact you could hear the coach address the team before breaking to return to their positions with the fans weaving between them to return to their spots in the outer.

Without knowing exactly what was said.

Are the players of theis generation a little soft. Sticks and stones. Just get on with it. anybody who lowers themselves to being racist is not worth worrying about. Stop whining just play footy, let your game speak for itself.
