Already there appear to be a 'big four' collection of teams who will make their mark in this division by staking an early claim on the double chance. Stazza has gone back to the top of the Hogg rankings after a dip in scoring from whufc this week and full marks to Ecky's Fevola who have recorded the first one point victory of the season (I don't recall seeing any others so far).

Down the tail TSG copped the week from hell and it was the underwhelming Overdrive that got the points and snuck into the top eight. The Hawkers were the unlucky side that lost to Ecky but scored well enough to suggest a top eight finish is on the cards and Big Al earnt a well deserved victory after he was a bit stiff last week. Oh sorry, he was a bit stiff* last week.

The Kiwi somehow won a game despite scoring **** all and that doesn't look good for the relegation prospects of Carp Team who I talked up as about to have a break out season in SC this year.

The seemingly inevitable has occured in Division IV with Stazza taking top spot on the ladder after he had a thumping win against Overdrive in the third round. Nutkickers' regrouping efforts were only partially successful as he went within thirty points of toppling the highly rated Red Cans outfit in what was an unlucky loss for TSG. Big Al continued his climb up the ladder by defeating the previously unbeaten Some Can't and whufc continued his fine form with a narrow victory over the FOOTYLEDGENS. The other unbeaten side Brodlach Bombers had an easy day out against the Kiwi who has slid all the way down to 16th on the ladder with a second demotion in two years looming.

Meanwhile I got Ecky's name right but he got his scoring wrong as he was Ankled this week and the problem about having two hawks playing each other is that a Hawk has to be a winner and this week that was the Hawkers as they defeated Hodges_Heros. Bubbles got off the bottom after beating Carp Team and he looks a good mate for the Nutkickers down the arse end of the ladder at this stage of the season.

Stazza's triumphal march through Division IV continued this week as they dismissed the previously second ranked Red Cans by 280 points in the match of the round. Stazz is the number one coach in the Hogg this season and it seems that Champions league and a Division III (or higher) spot is there for the taking. whufc are the other unbeaten side which is a fine effort from a team that was promoted from Division V this season. The Hammers aren't scoring quite as well as earlier in the year but did enough to crunch the Nutkickers (OUCH).

Big Al is another strong contender and this week the Northern Cats also put their hand up. Perhaps the Cats from the North can be the first team to be promoted back to the league they were relegated from. So far in Hogg history once you go down you keep going down (you know, like the Krappers). Andy's mate Stewie and his Overdrive combination produced the most unlikely result of the round after his team whipped out a huge 2327 after struggling all season. The Hawkers have a right to be a bit pissed off about that. At least this week Onegameatatimers have won so Moe won't have to hang around moping in this thread. No Bunny Bowl for you Moe, you score too much.

There were sensations aplenty in Division IV this week with a classic encounter between the two leading teams, a massive boilover and the first draw in the Hogg Shield this season. In the match of the round Stazza defended his unbeaten record against a very strong challenge from second ranked whufc winning a high quality encounter by a mere 12 points. Stazza has been doing it pretty easy in Division IV this year but the hammers pressured the mighty Stazza FC all weekend long before just falling short.

In a massive upset the apparently clueless Kiwi managed to knock off an in-form Big Al in a result that not many would have seen coming. The upset loss has taken the Kiwi out of the relegation zone and booted Big Al out of the top eight where he looked pretty comfy only a week ago. Before this round started only two points separated Ecky's Fevolas and Hodges Heros and the match panned out that way as four days of SuperCoach were unable to separate the team as they finished up with a 2364-all draw. Either side would have been very stiff to lose that one but with a score that big that is certainly two points that got away as both teams are out of the eight.

In Division IV the main contenders to the Grand Final favourites are Red Cans who hit back strongly against the Hawkers and the inform Northern Cats who will be one of the few teams to earn their place back in the league they were relegated from if they can finish in the top four at the end of the finals. Some Can't has also been solid this season and Ankles United could well kick on after scoring the highest score in the league this week.

Despite being one of the top scorers in this league, Big Al has once again been trumped by a team that sits below them on the ladder as Bubbles Blunderers handed out Big Als' second straight upset loss. This loss leaves Big Al half a game outside the top eight now as the pack condenses around the middle of the table. The bottom six don't appear to be in this comp for mine so that leaves them fighting it out to avoid the drop to Division V with only two of them surviving.

In the top 12, Stazza and whufc appear to be unassailable and it was business as usual for them as they went back to racking up percentage boosters after their tight clash last week. The Northern Cats have emerged as the side most likely to challenge for a Grand Final spot as they cleaned up the Kiwi by over 200 points and Some Can't is also in the frame even though the Giant appeared to have woken up last week. The teams that had a draw last week showed that they might both end up in the finals here as Ecky flogged Overdrive and the Heros cleaned up Brodlach whose Bombers aren't going quite as well as the real thing despite a solid enough start.

Ankles United downed Red Cans which is always a pleasant weekend activity but the Cans need to find some consistency soon or they might get relocated to North Queensland. At the arse end of the ladder Carp Team cleaned up the FOOTYLEDGENS who are allergic to scoring points and the Hawkers once again showed that scoring points doesn't necessarily mean you win games.

Some Can't had the chance to end Stazza's winning run this week as the league leaders had a bit of a stumble but they didn't quite get the job done. Meanwhile, the hammer's weekend from hell continued as they were well beaten by fellow top four contenders Ankles United who are having a fine season this year and could be destined for higher honours. This set of results leaves Stazza two games and percentage clear and they'd have to do a lot wrong from here to miss out on playing in Division III next year.

Ecky's Fevolas and Hodges_Heros seem to joined at the Hip. They couldn't be split a fortnight ago and since then they've won both of their matches to clamber into the top eight. Ecky's latest victim Red Cans have dropped from second to eleventh since Round 3 and are in freefall. The Northern Cats' quest to be readmitted to Division III copped a bit of a furball in the form of Bubbles Blunderers who had their best win of the season. Bubbles' win means they keep their season alive while putting the skids under the Cats. Big Al got his season back on track after two upset losses by defeating a Brodlach Bombers combination that was ranked higher on the ladder than the Big Boys.

Hawkers had an important win over Moe's Onegameatatimers to deservedly move out of the relegation zone. The Kiwi went one step closer to a second straight drop after they lost to a points shy FOOTYLEDGENS combination. Meanwhile, there was no way that Nutkickers were going to forget about his side this week which was bad news for his mate Carp Team as the The Sleeping Giant finally woke up and opened their account for the season.

Ecky and his magnificent Fevolas have knocked whufc out of the top four in a high quality match of the round in Hogg Division IV this week. Since their draw a few weeks ago, Ecky's Fevolas and Hodges_Heros haven't put a foot wrong and now both sides are sitting inside the top four. This spells bad news for whufc who were a clear second to the runaway leader Stazza a few weeks back but now find themselves in 5th spot in the ladder.

Second ranked Ankles United have proven to be something of a surprise packet this season and they recorded a comfortable win over struggling onegameatimers who have lost the plot in recent weeks. Stazza won yet again with an easy win over the last placed side and Stazza seems to regularly knock up 2200 which seems to be the score Division IV sides will need to aspire to if they want to win this premiership.

The unluckiest side of the round was Brodlach Bombers who lost by a single point to lowly ranked Overdrive. One point is a terrrible way to go given the unpredictable and subjective nature of SuperCoach scoring. Bubbles Blunderers followed up last weeks important win with a devasting loss to struggling FOOTYLEDGENS who posted thier best score for some time. Nutkickers said 'here I come' last week and he was as good as his word as he now won back to back victories by cleaning up the Clueless Kiwi Krappers who are growing floppy ears and a fluffy tail as we speak.

Cant take a trick at the moment, coming up against opponents who are scoring big!!!

Just backing my team is covered pretty well for the bye period and hoping to pick up some games then while saving trades for the run home.
