Harry Howard and the N.D.E - Near Death Experience.
Image

Harry was a former member of Crime and The City Solution and These Immortal Souls. He is also the younger brother of the late Rowland S.Howard.
This album has grabbed me on first listen, and also saw the band live (finally) for the first time yesterday. Featuring SA's own Dave Graney and Clare Moore as the rhythm section.
HIGHLY recommended.

I only have Chronicle- The 20 Greatest Hits by CCR. My old man has every CCR album on Vinyl, I'm absolutely spewing we didn't go and see John Fogerty at the EC when he toured he not long ago, would of be great to watch. Cosmo's Factory is a great album, it includes a few of my favourite CCR songs Up Around the Bend, Travillin' Band, Lookin' Out My Back Door and of course one of their most well known songs, Run Through the Jungle.

Leaping Lindner you will be proud of me
Today I bought this album
Matt the Hooples Greatest Hits
For anyone who has never seen MTH lead singer Ian Hunter, he is a bitta of a Roger Daltrey lookalike

Ian Hunter went solo, after his MTP days and sang that classic song Once Bitten Twice Shy in 1975

David Bowie had an influence on MTP
Can you believe Bowie offered them the hit song Suffragette City in 1972, but MTP knocked it back !
MTP however were not to be 'Once bitten twice shy'
Bowie also created another hit called All The Young Dudes
This time MTP took on the hit, and what a song it ends up being for them

In 2004 Rolling Stone had Their top 500 Greatest songs of all time list
At number 253 was All The Young Dudes

The top 10 Rolling Stone songs are
1 Like A Rolling Stone [Bob Dylan] and I wonder why Rolling Stone picked this song
2 Satisfaction [Rolling Stones]
3 Imagine [John Lennon]
4 Whats going On[Marvin Gaye]
5 Respect [Aretha Franklin]
6 Good Vibrations [Beach Boys]
7 Johnny Be Goode [Chuck Berry]
8 Hey Jude [Central Districts supporters+ some Liverpool band in the 60s]
9 Smells Like Teen Spirit [Nirvana]
10 What'd I say [Ray Charles]
