Glenunga way too good for us yesterday. 3 pretty even quarters but a 9 goal to nil second put the game away.very hard to match up all their forwards, but look forward to the return bout in 10 weeks. Thanks to Mario and Chad for their hospitality after the game, great to have a beer and a chat with the glenunga boys.Look forward to Fitzroy now long time since we have played them if ever????

North Haven were POO, Brahma Lodge were good. That is the run down in simple terms.

It was a disappointing 59 point loss for our A grade (who are 0 and 3 now) at the hands of your boys, who were very very good. I thought the effort from our boys was there and we did move the ball reasonably well at times but we were just totally outplayed by a stronger, more skillful outfit. BL's efficiency going forward and delivery into their forward line was very good, in particular to Clark, which was spot on for pretty much the whole game. There's not much a defender can do when the ball's getting delivered to a full forward like it was. Their conversion rate was very good too (hence kicking 21.7 to our 8.16, at half time it was 13.4 to 4.10), while ours was obviously very poor.

On the flip side it was a very good, hard fought win for our B grade yesterday. BL's B grade has improved a fair bit from last year and the fist half went pretty much goal for goal and we able to kick away from them in the 2nd half. The two big positives to come out of the win I thought was 1, we didn't have any 5-10 mins peroids where we dropped off and let BL back into the game, when they kicked a goal we responded immediately and didn't let them kick two or three in a row. The 2nd was that we had no passengers and it was very hard for Buzza to pick our best players, all of the 21 played well, which is what we need week in week out especially against teams such as Adelaide Lutheran and Hope Valley.

Both games were played in the right sprits but look out for BL's B grade full forward, bit of a loose cannon that one, all he wanted to do was fight, even after the game had ended. :? He treated our full back like a punching bag. Footy sides/clubs don't need that sort of crap.

Onto Kenilworth at home next Saturday, it will be a big challenge for both grades. The A grade need that first win and the B's will be looking for 3 in a row.

BL's B grade full forward was just upset that he was dropped from the C's to the B's  Nice dive in the square after a slight bump to get a free down the ground too... ;)

Your B grade played a disciplined, structured match, and like you said, no passengers. Your midfield absolutely smashed ours, spread very well and must have won 90% of the clearances. There was not much the backline could have done, they fought it out well and if not for them, would have lost by 15 goals.

The B grade have now played NH, AL and Kenilworth, 3 very tough matches. Pity that from here, it doesn't get much easier :?

Havens big b grade ruckman dominated and gave them first use. Made it very difficult to winnit out the centre. They ran really well off their half back line also. Their sheparding was very impressive, really worked for each other

Makes Pt Lincoln sound alright!
Saw first half of kenilworth v Adel luth..
AL had all the ball and control of the game, eventually pulling away.
Looking very good in the guts and with the big fella up forward.
Kenilworth appeared to rely on a few older bigger players, and their skills coming out of the backline were a bit off.
AL big test v WC this week in the Parklands

The surrounding houses would suggest there's a little bit of money in the area.

The boys played great against Brahmas B grade. It was awesome viewing from the back pocket to watch our midfield win almost every clearance. Big Glenn did a great job in the ruck, which wouldve made it a bit easier for our boys to get on top early.

I think that was by far our best game so far, and i would say NH wouldve been ahead on almost every stat on the day. I think Brahma had a handful of inside 50s in the 2nd and 3rd quaters combined.

I agree about Brahmas full forward. Played ONLY for the free kicks. I dont remember him taking a mark at all. It looked like he was over running the ball on purpose just to try and back into the following full back and get a free. Obviously it was obvious coz he wasnt getting any frees and it made me look good, coz I knew to just run around the back and mop up every time. So cheers bud. And threatening to punch peoples lights out while they're trying to shake his hand after the game just made him look like more of a wanker.

Other than that the game was played in good spirits by both teams. Cant wait for the return leg.
