Gepps cross beat salisbury by about 3 goals, Gepps cross D grade started with about 16 players and finished with about 13/14. C grade was a good game, salisbury winning early but gepps had a good 3rd qtr to be up by about about 5 goals at 3/4 time. I can only speak for salisbury but we were far from our best even with basically a full a squad, hopefully just a bad day and rusty.

We came up against Broadview, without seeing any other side they will be tough to beat this season. Got some handy players. We let ourselves down in the 2nd quarter and never looked in it from there. We have some key players to come back in which will help us but will need to put in a better effort than last week.

Albeit against an extremely understrength and very young Blacks. That considered, Princes are obviously extremely structured and have some talent floating around in their C grade. Will be a good match up when they come up against Broadview.

North Haven are looking for a Div 8 Reserve umpire, starting ASAP.

Private message me if you are interested or know someone that is and I will let you know the pay etc.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Yeah thought it was a bit harsh for that old bloke to umpire both the C's and D's for you blokes. Fair play to him though cos he was a half decent umpire which you don't get too often with club umpires....

Browny is a top bloke who has done a the club a huge favour. We had an umpire lined up who pulled out so the search for a replacement goes on.

Good to see the lads had a good win up at GG
Always been a tough trip for us, plus an ongoing rivalry, so we're glad to come home with 2 good wins
Our D8 side doesn't have the same old man strength as previous years so are doing well

The D8/D8R comp is starting to show those clubs with depth

We actually had opportunity to win this one, went into half time a couple of goals up and gave this away in the third.

Having now played all top four sides, personally I still think that Broadview and SMOSH are the teams to beat. UNI were quick and fit, PAC were also quick and fit but lacked a bit of body when it came to contested ball, we could not get the ball past half forward, missed our FF and CHF on the day, would have helped but not saying it would have got us over the line.

Deffinately still a bit of rivalry there, not too many of us played off in that GF a few years back but the ones that did, we still hate ya!! ;)

What's the story with SMOSH? Older large bodied or young and sprightly?
I'd certainly like to have less than ten-fifteen changes per week... certainly the next few games will tell us a tale or two.

My nephew played in the Cs on Saturday - I told him about that day 3 years ago and told him to expect a good hard game :D
I did forget to tell him to check out my shrine.
I also remember similar words to "lacked a bit of body when it came to contested ball" 3 years ago..........
We have played a lot of players each week to give everyone a go and have to be happy where we are at this stage
Long year though and we're already seeing injuries upstairs milk the D8/D8R sides

To be honest, we went at the footy pretty hard and when we did it was when we were in front. To me it seemed to hard to sustain over the 4 quarters, PAC had some guys that went in hard and a couple that waited out, we lacked a half forward line and the big guy down back just kept pumping it back at us. In the end I think they were fitter and this is where we were down.

I like playing PAC, good rivalry from our C and D grade over the years! Looking forward to playing them the next time round, hopefully a different result!
