Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons will be looking for a new job after the nation's cricket board confirmed on Tuesday night that his contract would not be renewed. Siddons, who has coached the Bangladesh side since October 2007, appeared unlikely to win a contract extension from the moment his team failed to meet lofty home expectations during the 2011 World Cup, missing out on a quarter-final berth after heavy defeats to West Indies and South Africa.

Dizzy's done in ZIM now also?

He will return after his duties as Assistant Coach of Australia A are finished

Geoff Marsh, the former Australia batsman and coach, has confirmed discussions with Sri Lanka Cricket about the possibility of becoming national coach.

In Pallekele to witness his son Shaun's century on Test debut, Marsh has been weighing up the possibility of taking over the position vacated by Trevor Bayliss following the 2011 World Cup. Sri Lanka has since been under interim coaches, first Bayliss' assistant Stuart Law in England and then the former Sri Lanka fast bowler Rumesh Ratnayake in this series against Australia

Australian Shane Jurgensen has been appointed Bangladesh's bowling coach of the Bangladesh national team. Jurgensen, 35, has agreed to a contract which would keep him with the Bangladesh team until June 2013, and is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday.

Something of a journeyman cricketer during his playing days in Australian state cricket, Jurgensen played for Western Australia and Tasmania before winning a place at his home state Queensland.

While playing for Tasmania, he was the first cricketer in history to take 10 wickets or more in a Sheffield Shield Final in March 2002, and was also the first to take a first-class hat-trick at the Bellerive Oval.

JASON Gillespie's coaching career has hit overdrive - headhunted to coach English county side Yorkshire.

Gillespie, 36, said he had loved his time at Zimbabwe franchise MidWest Rhinos but had to accept an offer to return to the county where he featured as an overseas player in 2006 and 2007.

"I feel indebted to MidWest Rhinos where I will have been for two seasons but also appreciate the chance to coach at county level with Yorkshire from next summer," Gillespie told The Advertiser from Zimbabwe.

Michael Dighton has resigned as Canada's coach after being in charge of the side for eight months. Dighton accompanied the team on a preparation camp for the World Twenty20 Qualifier in Sri Lanka, the World Twenty20 Qualifier in the UAE and Canada's tour of Namibia during his tenure.

Cricket Canada vice president Vimal Hardat said he was disappointed to lose a coach with the calibre of Dighton. "[We] understand his reasons [for resigning] and thank him for his contribution to Cricket Canada. We wish him all the best in the future," Hardat said.
