Pendlebury as captain will do that to ya, lost 200points just there with Gazza's score. Only early days though. Not having much luck at this stage

Well only 5 tips right for the first week with Footyledgens and Puopolo Potenza unable to get over the General Priddis curse. The Spuds were able to overcome the curse I think mainly due to Pendels spudding it up for the Heros. The close one was decided by a mere 28 points with the Manbearpigs just getting over Has Been. The big surprise was the Cobras spitting out a huge score for the real stuff compared to the preseason and walloping the lowest scoring ****’s who were Pendel affected. Also as mentioned elsewhere the Badgers choice of captain in Toby Greene backfired.

Had Koby Stevens as captain last week for the captaincy loophole. Swapped him onto the bench friday night because he was playing. Somehow Greene ended up with the Captaincy.... Im sure I hit Ablett.... apparently not.

Still fuming... to pissed off to even look at my score yet....

Off to a shocking start, but just gotta stick to my strategy to make sure I have the best side come finals time!

Selections Round 4

BenjisBeasts a Div 1 veteran to get up in a highscoring affair against Les’s Men who come up to Division 1 after winning the Div 3 Grand Final last year who also have to contend without Lake and potentially Fyfe.
Marion Manbearpigs who have won Div 3 and Div 2 Grand Finals in the last two years with a winning percentage of 75% with their high scoring mid price strategy should be too strong for Puopolo Potenza.
Slimshady DTC have a battle on their hands with Ron’s Rumcoks who have a wider choice of quality POD’s but how will they handle the Lake and Fyfe situation SlimShady who won the 2010 Hogg Premier cup just.
Two 2011 Division 4 teams play off with Cossi’s Carnts with Pendels versus Has Been with Ablett if Pendels can improve on last weeks showing Cossi’s mob should get up with more gun POD’s that are firing to extract some revenge for last year.
Footyledgens and the DenverCrows should be the clash of the round with only a few points between them by my calculations the Crows however could be in strife with Lake and Grimes out the Footyledgens just.
The Cobras had all their mid price POD’s firing last week and meet Honda’s Heroes who were let down by Pendels and have Fyfe to worry about, but the Heroes should be too strong at the end.
Buddy Franklin the 2011 Div 6 upstart meet Dunkzkrew freshly relegated from the Hogg Premier Div in an interesting match of two very different teams that make it very difficult to choose a winner. I can only go on the superior form in the preseason to pick Buddy to win.
The Spuds and the Lions line up with very similar teams The Spuds have Priddis, Watson, McIntosh and Martin going against Murphy, Boyd, Cox and Dangerfield from the Lions so again a close finish will ensure The Spuds have a 51.5% winning percentage in the Hogg whereas the Lions have a 69.4% so that I hope will translate to a win for the Lions.
BOONGAS BULLDOGS from Div 2 last year and who appear to have a superior inform midfield should win easily against the Honey Badgers, who may surprise again with an out there Captain selection.

Round 2 Review

Well my tipping is getting worse only 4 this week. It is also noted all teams with Carrazzo lost this week.
Les’s Men pulled out the score of the round and ended up destroying BenjisBeasts who disappointingly failed to get 2000 points.
Slim Shady DTC poled the next highest score and easily accounted for Rumcoks.
The Marion Manbearpigs showed why they have such a large winning percentage by thrashing Puopolo Potenza who have yet to fire a shot this year.
Has Been came back into form and easily accounted for Cossi who is sadly out of form and sitting bottom of the table.
Footyledgens will be cursing Hurn, Mumford, Goodes and Martin (If they are allowed to do that in the REB household) as they went down to that Denver team by 101 points.
Cobras was beaten easily by Honda’s Heroes and can blame Carrazzo, Grimes, and N. Roo. The Heroes would have welcomed the return to form of captain Pendels.
The last three matches were the close ones with only 20 odd points determining the outcome.
Dunkzkrew showed their Premier experience to tip out the Div 6 upstart and leaving Buddy with no wins from two matches and they will be cursing the Carrazzo injury.
The Lions missed out to The Spuds who are also unbeaten and the Lions put the blame on Carrazzo.
The Bulldogs continued on their winning way by disposing of the Badgers who are now sitting zip and two, they will be cursing the omission of Dickson as even if he had reached his low average of 34 would have made the difference from a donut and losing, to winning this game.

Round 3 Predictions

We have a blockbuster this week with two undefeated teams meeting early in the round. Les’s Men the Winner of Div 3 last year comes up against the Div 3 winner in 2010 and last years Div 2 winner Marion Manbearpigs. Les’s Men have certainly clicked with the start of head to head combat and I think should win this early clash.
Slimshady DTC who are also unbeaten and seem to have jumped back into form this season which should account for BenjisBeasts who seem a little off their best.
Puopolo Potenza and Cossi’s Carnts play off for the spoon spot and both need to work hard to get back into contention. The Potenza to get up in a scrappy affaire.
Rumcoks while scoring well have not been able to get up as yet and meet the Denver Crows in another hard one that should go the Crows way.
Has Been and Honda’s Heroes returned to the winners list last week and both will be keen to string a couple of wins together I think with Ablett out the Heroes should prevail.
The two teams relegated from the Premier Division last year play off and having chosen Footyledgens both weeks and not getting it right I predict Dunkzkrew will add another win to last weeks slaying of the Buddy.
The Cobras who only won 3 games last year but still managed to survive relegation seem to have gone to sea again, leaving their team without a skipper. Having 4 donuts and a 3 last week down back would not have helped their cause. The Lions also will now have to deal with some outs and the Cobras mid price strategy should see them get over the line so long as the skipper comes back to port in time for the game to fix up that backline.
Buddy and the Badgers have had a tough start to the year and need to score their first win. I suspect both will be trading vigorously to try to gain the advantage. Buddy has had some bad luck with two of his trades being Carrazzo and Dempsey and the Badgers are waiting on a trade in Sandi being fit and Birchel playing this week. The flip of the coin goes to Buddy.
In the last bruising encounter of the round the Spuds and the Bulldogs both unbeaten and only points apart play off in a thriller. After only 4 wins last year the Spuds is looking to try to repeat on the success from 2010 where he was pipped in the Div 2 GF. They have both been very cautious with trades and even the Spuds downgrading Fyfe for a rookie shows a confidence that many other teams do not have after this years start. I predict a draw.

Welcome back, at least you have saved on trades.

I am not looking forward to next year in SC as I will be 5 weeks away out bush in May and June.
I should have my team nearly set but the weekly changes and LTI's will kill me.
I am thinking of a mid price strategy of those players that play every game and hope they do.

Review Round 3
Well I kept up my average with 4 tips out of 9 this week.
What a round with 2109 being our highest score and many having below par performances having to use the bench to cover late outs.
Les’s Men easily kept top spot by smashing the Pigs who are on the ropes after two good rounds with trouble for key players Birchell, Hargrave, Ablett and Porpoise.
The Beasts managed to regain form and account for Slimshady who have been dealt their first loss for the year.
Cossi scraped in a win by 16 to lift him off the bottom which has left the Potenza with the spoon for now. Now that MatteeG is back can he improve his team to become a force in the future?
The Crows continued on their great start to the season to remain undefeated beating the Rumcoks who were hurt by the Ablett injury.
Whereas, Has Been has been able to cover for the loss of the little champ and won unexpectedly against the Heroes to add to last weeks win.
DunKsKrew narrowly survived by 8 points to a fast finishing FootyLedgens to make it two in a row.
Well it looks like the Cobras coach did not get back to shore to change his team leaving him with donuts and going down to a wounded Lion outfit that also through up his first donut in two years.
Buddy responded well to the troubles that have befallen the team early and posted the highest score for the round in Div 1 netting their first win. This was at the expense of the Badgers who were unable to cope with the disasters that occurred in this round.
The Bulldogs march on relentlessly and sliced up the Spuds in an easy victory that keeps the Dogs undefeated and the Spuds suffering their first defeat with an injury depleted side.

I'll take 1 late withdrawel as part of the game, I'll take 2 as unlucky, but 3 ~x(
Add to that 17 from Smith & Goddard as captain not being able to get a touch against some player from Melbourne that no one has ever heard of...

Rant over

I expect the teams with Geelong, Carlton and Collingwood guns to improve their scores this week with easy games and this could be crucial in the matchups for the four points. Although there is another way of looking at this and the General could come out and haunt those guns from those teams? One critical decision affects a number of teams this week. What are coaches going to do with Kreuzer as this could be his big week against the Giants?

Round 4 starts with two high scoring teams battling it out with undefeated Les’s Men having more than their share of guns that should do very well this week and should shade SlimShady DTC just.

Milky’s Pigs are going to be waiting on the Medical room diagnosis of Birchell, Hargrave, Ablett and Porpoise and will be relying on the superiority of his Ruck division over Cossi who will be wondering what to do with Kreuzer. The ManBearPigs in a close one as they were only 3 points apart last week, with some good news from the Medical rooms.

The Denver Crows are cruising along nicely and should account for the Beasts who will have to make a decision on Robbie Gray.

Puopolo Potenza I think will have to look at the long term structure of their Ruck division as Kreuzer is spudding it up and I think they were the only team that doesn’t have Giles and now with the other two rookies not playing they are giving away 50 points a week. So I think Honda’s Heroes should get up if the same medical room that Milky is relying on can patch up some of his players.

Rumcoks and DunKzKrew were only 1 point different last week so every decision will be important down to the Emergencies that could come off the bench to win the game. However I think the Rumcoks will post their first win with their Geelong, Carlton and Collingwood guns, but Ron will have a few sleepless nights pondering the Kreuzer issue.

Has Been has finally slipped into gear with most of his guns up and firing now although the Mummy to Sandi trade would be smarting. I think I am in strife as I am awaiting the outcome of Milky’s medical room and have Scotland, Murphy, and Sidebottom to battle against Shaw, Clarke, Swan and Chappy. Perhaps I could use the Kreuze missile to bring about a surprise victory?

FootyLedgens and Honey Badgers are yet to win a game and clash in the next game that should see the Badgers record their first victory due to the number of guns with easy games this week.

Boongas Bulldogs with three wins will defeat the helm less Cobras, who even if the Skipper returns has too many holes to plug to stop that sinking feeling this week.

Masha’s Buddy Franklin also got back into stride last week to post their first win with a very handy score and meet the Spuds who spudded it up last week with a shocker. In an interesting move last week that paid off Buddy ditched Ablett for Chappy and still has Carrazzo and Dempsey clogging the Medical room in defence. Buddy should be too strong here unless the Spuds unleash the Kreuze missle and it doesn’t emulate the North Korean variety.

Last roll of the dice for the Honey Badgers, no point hanging onto trades if you cant make the finals....

But with my luck this season, expect FootyLegens to score 2300+

7 correct this week, which considering there were 4 tight games was surprising.

Les’s Men, the Bulldogs and the Crows continued on their winning ways remaining undefeated and giving themselves a good base for the season and showing their superior scouting in the preseason has reaped the required benefits.

The Spuds showed that last weeks shocker was an aberration and smashed out the highest score for the round in Div 1, although this result leaves Buddy on one win after posting a pretty competitive score.
Has Been also continues on his merry way also with 3 wins with his guns and Captain getting over my outfit.

Down the bottom of the table MatteeG and REB junior are sitting on no wins and are looking in real trouble to try to gain a finals spot.
The Cobras however and looking even worse as their score is the lowest in the Division and are now not competitive each week. They need their skipper to return to fix up the ailing squad.
Although it appears anything is possible as Cossi after spluttering to life last week engaged a higher gear and had a good win against a highly rated Pig outfit and looks like he is back in town.
