Thought he did okay.
Was unsure of himself a couple of times and didn't blow the whistle when he should have, but let the play go a lot which was okay too.

I have had a number enquiries as to why a Coach was able to be a Runner for a team on Wednesday.
The coach was not named as the Coach on the team sheet but was named as the Runner.
From direction from SANFL this is allowed.
It is then up to the umpire to ensure that the Runner is following the duties of a Runner’s

Hard for a kid to do it but I reckon Crackers will be a good umpire.

Can`t see the problem with this if the SANFL allows it,infact it may be a disadvantage.Time will tell.
I guess if it works why wouldn`t all clubs follow suit, maybe Waikerie are just setting a trend that we may see more often in country footy,at the end of the day they are playing within the rules so play on I say.
Would be interested to know if Shirps(Norths Runner),spent any more or less time on the field as Griff,as with his experience I`d expect his role would be very similar anyway.

Thought they might've sent three of their best out there seeing as there were only two games on.
Red Thiele and George Kaiser were deplorable. The other bloke, Darren Skilton, did alright though.

A couple I think.
Probably not enough to make up 20 goals though.
