Wow must have hit a nerve. Just stating that there is a changing of the guard and don't see an aging uraidla being the powerhouse it has been IMO.

A dry game may have seen Oakley kick more then 5. They have big power forwards, dry ball probably helps that and with better delivery. Mt lofty smaller younger nippy side may have liked the ball on the ground a bit more. Although ill agree they look weaker looking at their lineup.

Hmm, didn't expect that spanking, thought it would have been closer.
The Lofty Bridgey game should be fairly close with a MASSIVE out for the Devs - Burch.

Hi dukes.. Nielsen and Luitjes will be playing with the devils until they get an SANFL call up.. Would think surely Nielsen would be close but they should have Luitjes for the majority of the season I would think

Cheers Robby, nielson has been a strong Hit up target and believe can go back if required which is a bonus for a devs team who don't have that many key position players , the longer they can hold onto him the better I would think.

Is it true Mt Lofty are only going into the clash with one ruckman? Will Luitjes have enough in the tank to ruck the majority of the game?

Have heard mixed reviews re Bridgewater. Are they looking better than last year?

Dukes - what Robby said! He seems to be all over it.
Nielsen is a massive inclusion & they'd need him as a go-to all year to be a competitive unit. It's the usual with SANFL - a lot of hard work, virtually no coin in return & if you're not cracking the league side, makes you question where you're at. The HFL sees a fair bit of this.
Birch has a great opportunity this weekend though, well done to him for being picked in the national Firies team for the clash with Emergency Services. Would rather him putting out spot fires against Bridgey though ;)
I too would be keen to hear from a Raider as they appeared (on the scoreboard at least) to be competitive with the Demons but last weekend's score was a flogging. Weird, as they have played Bridgey Oval pretty well, regardless of tghe year they're having.

Its true Bridgewater were terrible last week against Hahndorf. I'd like to think it was an 'off' game... expecting to see a much better performance tomorrow. Should be a great clash between Mark Nielsen and Matt Barber who would be one of the best CHBs in the league.
Adam Curkpatrick was also selected in the national Fireys team, however has opted to play for the Raiders as he knows how important the Cutting Cup game is to the club and supporters. Looking forward to a good show!!

Perhaps because footy is a well paid job for Curkpatrick and Birch plays for love?
