Have only missed finals action 3 times since 1996 and the last time was 2005.

You know the answer to why strath didn't come in to your clubrooms 'lf'. If you didn't realise we are playing another game on wednesday night so we decided to go straight to goolwa beach for recovery. And we also had our player auction on starting at 6pm, the 2nd time in ten years we have had a function back at the club on an away game. So it wasn't because we are bad loosers. Strath i think are normally pretty good going back with the opposition i can still remember a few years ago we had more players back in your clubrooms 'lf'!.

Because you "had" to go to the beach for rehab. Would you have still taken off to the beach if you were playing inland at compass or at home? I think some of you still could have dropped in for a beer but I guess it's one of the changing traditions in country footy

Saw Willunga Mclaren Vale last night. Willunga's defence as a unit is as good as i have seen in a long time.
Mclaren seemed to play into their hands a little by kicking high into one on one contests but Willunga clear the football with speed and precision.
Defenders punch to front and centre where a handball is fired out to running defender, this bloke then kicks 20 odd meters to back flank or wing, and then it is kicked long to forward line. The speed that it rebounds and then reaches the forwards does not allow for a team to react and setup.
It was good to watch. Havent seen enough to know if they are as effective against the top sides, but their record of late would suggest so.
Would like anyone to confirm this to be a pattern of their play or not, as i was impressed.

Agreeing with you LF... Last year they didnt come back into the clubrooms at the Bay either..... and they didnt play on the Wednesday that week.. I guess we are just "lucky" to not have them back as we are close to Horseshoe Bay.. We had another club last year too that didnt come in but i cant remember who it was.

Am i readin correctly. Saw on the SFL results B.Hutchinson in best players for Port Noarlunga, then checked the clearances and there was a B.Hutchinson cleared from GSFL.

Surely this is not Benny Hutch from Pongy. He and his family tipify Pongy, if it is him what has made him leave? Surely a future Mudlark captain??

Ben's father Geoffrey certainly tipify's Myponga but not so sure about Ben. Heard he has always had attitude issues so that'd be my guess.. Maybe a falling out with someone?? Doubt he'd make a very good captain Mr Teach

Big game at Strath 2nite, both teams hungary for a win as one of them will be 0-3 after 2day which will make it a hard road to finals action. Go the Roosters. ;)

Going to be tough for Strath from here, had a few out 2nite and with a number of senior colts from last season stepping up it will be tough, having said that the Creek were far too good, hunting in numbers and there stoppage work was first class. Did notice that the Creek players dont seem too handball to often forward of center with only goals in mind.
