Clearly Mawson Lakes are a force to be reckoned with. The pacesetters. Unstoppable, some might say.

Clearance in to Spencer Gulf League. Hopefully plays more than 9 games for them. Should be nicknamed Tampon, old Bunga

Houghton (8th) v Central United (9th) - picking Houghton based on the current weather prediction in what will be a bruising encounter
Lockleys (5th) v Colonel Light Gardens (4th) - match of the round, Lockleys to continue good form of the last 2 weeks and win at home
Ingle Farm (10th) v Blackfriars (2nd) - not one BOS will want to drop. as Zed noted, Farmers not to be under estimated. BOS to win
Trinity (6th) v Mawson Lakes (1st) - an old scholars battle of yesteryear, now just suburban club v OS club. TOS to upstage more fancied rivals
Uni (3rd) v Woodville South (7th) - interesting, uni win on the road and lose at home. unpredictable. Cats to take the points home
Uni made 7 changes to the team that beat Ingle Farm in round 1 which probably explains their unpredictability
not sure how true this is but heard that uni had two or three a graders that are playing C's because of a lengthy overseas trip that was planned?

Why wouldn't it be true, team sheet would show 7 changes. Plus their coach told us there was probably 11 players that should be playing higher.

End of the day, every year we know there will be changes to their sides in the lower grades, thats a given, whether through school breaks or call up to higher grades, it happens. You have to play and beat whoever is placed in front of you regardless of the side.

I suited up.. wouldn't say i played#30 hmm Matt Tremain perhaps? He has been in outstanding form in the two games, must say the farmers B grade owe a lot to the back 6, who constantly repel the opposition attacks, if it wasn't for them I think IF B grade may well have been on the end of some larger scorelines. Our midfield has been very disappointing in the two games, but there is plenty of talent in the group, wont take long to click. Also missing our 1st choice ruckman Hille Sat hurt us, he has been really good in the trials and round 1.
I thought the CLG side was good. Did the 1% stuff really well - tackles, shepherds, 2nd efforts. Thought they ran hard and weren't afraid to take on defenders and break lines and put some really good physical pressure on the Farmers.

yes the B grade defensive group did really well for IF..our B grade has some good kids, they play without fear of failure which can make for exciting watching..then you need the older guys to keep a lid on it..expecting 2 very tough games from lockleys this week..they usually have a good B grade and their A grade performances have been pretty sound so far..

BFG wrote:not trying to be patronising here and i know that a lot of the talk about woodville south being an unstoppable force in div 6 this year came from outside of the club. But i think it needs to be said that those that voiced those opinions were a fair way off. Im not for a second saying that woody sth wont be a pacesetter this year because i still think they will be grand finalists, BUT it needs to be said that the predictions of being 10 goals better than every other side were pretty ridiculous. Div 6 is a strong comp and i think woody south's results early in the seaosn prove that!
like i said im not having a dig at anyone at woody sth becaue i know it wasnt them talking themselves up but people outside this div need to realise that maintaing your squad from a relegated div 5 side is not a guarantee of being promoted again the next year. same sort of thing happenned with BOS last year and while unlucky not to be promoted were not the powerhouse in div 6 that other people expected them to be.
