Very proud of our under 16's today. I couldnt imagine suiting up for a game after the week they had. Alot of heart especially against the bigger body's of the morphies lads. Well done boys and all ours thoughts are with you and the family.

Fudge going well as a coach. Lost a few guys to mining, Joel Harman a big out. Shane Lynch and Brad Whyatt both had 1 win in first year as coaches at Aldinga, judge Fudge after 2 or 3 years. Last year we didn't make finals and had a few players leave and coach resign and as always committee changes. Going to be a tough year no doubt, some softc*cks have decided too hard after 6 rounds but life rolls on. Very happy to see U18's step up (4 in A's last week) and be counted. C grade going ok (touch wood). What else can you do, Hackham have recruited well, Marion also I believe and Christies have come along nicely. Having 6 wins last year was nice but 2012 is a lot different with teams in the bottom half improving. Personally would like to see 2 divisions but can't see it happening soon. Almost laughable when you see teams like Brighton 'topping up' with ex AFL/SANFL players, you really do have a laugh when you think how much of a difference in teams there is in this 'DIV 1' comp. For what it's worth back in 2002 did the Div 2 clubs have a choice, sadly no.

I can see your point back liner but the club needed to improve from last year not start again. They were in a position to get someone to take the club the next step but they went with another first year coach. No fault of fudges but now it's a long road forward. If it wasn't for tyler and a couple of others these losses could be a lot more and that's a big ask for a young bloke to keep pulling on the boots. I wish the sharkies all the best and hope the league can sort their crap out and make the sfl enjoyable for everyone.

Who was gunna take the club the next step? I had good information that the final two candidates for the job were Fudge and Shane Lynch. Are you meaning him, or someone else?

I know it hard ATM at aldinga but stick with it I am sure the coaches and the club will turn it around it looks like the club has gone backwards a few years but it happens sometimes I think the committe needs to have a look at themselves and help the coach and players with more

No rumour, just a question in the hills thread about options, nothing to it really, that's about as far as it has gone, prob not a popular choice anyway

Dingy talked to plenty of coaches a couple in particular that would hav brought the right culture to the club. It's my understanding that they beleived these coaches wouldve 'scared' some players off with their hard line approach (which the club needs) but now it's come back to bite em.

Oh jeez. He was meant to have retired this year but now he's saying 'Every time I run out on the oval I feel like I'm meant to be there!' (and he wasn't even pissed when he said it!) I also told him that if he played on next year, he'd make his 200th A grade game and his 100th for Aldinga, so I think he's pretty keen to drag the old carcass out for another season. ;)
