No Paley's means I have to lower my standard mate, HSD is fine on those occasions but then I was forced into my first West End in ages .. I've only just now, been able to talk about the traumatic event.

How could anyone drink West End ? I bought one at the Unley Common two years ago and had to throw it away. Still getting over that experience even today.
I'd never let corporate deals dictate my drinking.
My order of preference on taste alone is:
Dortmunder DB
Asahi DB
Peroni Nastro Azzurro
Verhoek
Kirin
Kingfisher
Tiger
Cascade light, when in the situation for a light.
James Boag

HAHA!
Sorry mate, That comment got me instantly thinking about the Painters & Dockers classic track "Die Yuppie Die!"
"I only drink imported beer, tastes like the pits but at least it's dear.."

But having said that, I agree some of those beers you mentioned are very nice.
I reckon most beers are palatable if served tooth crackin' cold. ... Even West End... just.
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

JK wrote:Supporters of both teams I reckon would have left the game feeling they'd been hard done by the umps, it really was one of the more odd displays from the men in white I can remember seeing.

First free kick I can remember for the day was against Clayton for some mild argy bargy and was just such a ridiculously soft free kick. Coupled with a 25m penalty which I assume was for back chat it resulted in the games first goal.

This. What a bizzarre display. The first free and 25m was absolute grandstanding by the umpire. FFS, it's a derby game and there's a bit of passion shown. To be fair, they were equally as rubbish to both sides, so no clear advantage.

Was a really entertaining game until about the 20th of the 4th quarter.

The most disappointing aspect for me was Port's complete lack of pressure in our forward line. Norwood's best avenue to goal was a Port inside 50. I reckon 10 of your goals came from a clean passage of rebound footy set up by your backlines. Soo frustrating! Get Harder and Mercer back up there ASAP!!!!

I said my preference by taste - it doesn't exclude other options.
At the footy, or elsewhere when out, I'll pick from what they have.

I generally keep the Peroni in the fridge as the local doesn't have anything higher up my list
There are a few cans of Coopers Clear in there too - selected from what the local outlet had when I needed cans for easy portability - it's not bad.

Leftlegger, I don't only drink imported beer, and I don't drink Peroni Leggera - that really does taste like the pits to put it politely!
Cascade is my light of choice for those occasions when a light is appropriate, as it does at least have a taste.

The best Rum I've had was made at home by an old mate of mine who was living in Davoren Pk at the time.
Most Rum is appalling, including Bundy, but his was quite pleasant and not at all rough.
