Who else has seen it?
Loved season 1.
Season 2 has started, think I will wait till it has finished and get a copy of it in full and just watch it from start to finish rather then watch 1 episode a week

Yep loved the first season and the second looks to be just as good! Only 3 episodes in but seeing as I have burnt through all the other shows I was watching and Australian networks wouldn't know a good show if it bit them on the arse, I will watch weekly.

The Lannisters (sp?) are one ****** up family!

Game of Thrones is clearly, hands down, the most fantastic entertainment on TV at the moment. I haven't read any of the books, so each episode is a big surprise to me. 3 episodes into season 2, and the complex plot lines just keep getting better. Great characters, but it can be a little difficult to find the good guys amongst all the baddies. Come on Robb and Arya, you're about the only ones to cheer for, although Tyrion and perhaps Renley have some redeeming characteristics. Oh, and the possibility of Dany finally getting out of the desert and training some hell-raising dragons...

Just finished Season 1 and to be honest not sure what all the hype was about.

Very entertaining
The writers of this book are on some serious $hit

Anyone else think the imp is turning from a bad guy to the good guy?

The books were written by one person.
The tv series has different writers using the original author as consultant.
One of the producers has been quoted as saying if they would end up in jail if they were completely faithful to the books!

Bwahaha.
Yeah he is a bit. But he's always had a good side to him.
Seems to be a more centred characted than his siblings due to their treatment of him.

i have read the books (currently the series is actually unfinished) and yes, if they stayed faithful to the books it would never make it to air on tv.

i also agree that Tyrion is definitely a good guy. i never thought he came across (in the books at least) as a bad guy, he never actually did anything bad, he was just related to some f****d up people. the more the books went on the more it became clear that he actually did things to benefit the majority, not just to benefit himself, drastically different to the rest of his family.

actually, reading through book 4, Jaime lannister actually starts to see the errors of his ways, and begins to act in the greater good as well. it is a really good series, and rarely are any of the characters as they seem on first introduction.
