Pat on Sunday was super busy as usual.

Course- Fairways in great nick, really get rewarded for hitting the fairways. Greens OK- The 4th looks like its being eaten away, but most of the others were pretty decent. I'll mention the amount of unrepaired divots which is just phenomenal- I know its a public course but surely most golfers have some etiquette??

Golf- Still patchy but vast improvement on the Thax nightmare. Driving still a concern but iron play/chipping and putting were solid. Came in with a 39 on the back 9 for an 83 (35 points)- not brilliant but only 1 over the handicap. Worst hole was a double bogey on the 6th after a wayward drive and a 3 putt.

I'm away for our next game, so my next hit looks to be 29th of April in a 2 ball game at Lady Bay!

I hate you

Should be a good day, how is it structured individual or team ambrose?

Managed to jag the NTP on Saturday at the 15th which I'm pretty chuffed at as 192 other blokes couldn't beat me. However not happy how it got there though as I bladed it and the resulting bullet hit the face of a bunker on the full and popped up on to the green to finish about 1.4m from the pin. Beat a playing partner who was also marking my card by 4cm

Played the Dunes 3 times over the past 5 days. On friday, the wind was up and the course played tough. On the saturday the wind was not as bad but the greens were extra fast and on the sunday played early morning wind was down and the course was great to play. The greens, fairways and bunkers were the best i have ever played on. The rough is tough and once it grows more will make it a very tough course. nice lay out and would not think there are too many non windy days.

haha
was a great day by the way. perfect weather
There was 2 sessions, morning one that I played in, played with 2 pro's. Then the arvo where you played with one. The arvo one was the expensive one with more things (dinner after game etc) but the morning was still a great day.
Was single player stableford but then there was a team comp where best player for the hole score was used towards the team score.
I shot 36pts off 16 which I was pretty happy, the course was as long as it could be, eg, 6th tee off was off the back tier Ive never seen used before.

The 3rd was as far back as it could be aswell.
Made you really re think the hole, went from the usual gap-9 selection depending on a few things to hitting a 6-7.

Ok was in a wedding over the weekend and last week played 5 rounds of golf.

last sat had the buck show at Belair. course was ok for a public course. very short. greens were very soft. Easy course will never play there again.

the monday played at the West Lakes Golf Course. was very impressed have not played there for a few years. course presented very well. enjoyed the round.

the Tuesday lucky enough to get on at Royal Adelaide. and wow. what a course. very tough course is in very good nick and was great to play.

On the Thursday played in the Good Guys Pro Am At Mount Osmand, was the first time i had played there. greens were fast and hard and fairways were nice. very nice course and was impressed.

On the Friday i was a bit over golf but played at the West Course at Grange. its always presented well and the course was good to play. Greens are awlways good at Grange. was a slow round got stuck behind a person that would have shot close to 300 for the day. was funny to watch

Played Glenelg on sunday and was it a game to forget.
Started well but really struggled with the fairways on my approach shots, grass seems to be shorter and tighter then West lakes which resulted in me putting about 5 60-100m chips over the back of the greens.
Greens were alot faster and harder to read then west lakes and the wind we had on sunday made it alot tougher.
Lovely looking course and would like to play it on a bit calmer day and a few more times.

Played Port Augusta few times in recent weeks. Very easy to rate it very highly. Lovely layout beautiful backdrop of the Flinders Ranges and superb fairways and greens.
People who bought this book also bought a stool and some rope. Unknown literary critic
