Would love to see Peake improve. Have watched their progress quite closely over the past few years because they have had quite a few recruits from Imperials. Just concerned they seem to have lots of outs and no quality recruits have been discussed. You might be able to shed some light on this Slug.

If Donald "Spud" Andrews is the leading goal kicker, I'll take a leisurely stroll down rundle mall naked with a potato implanted in my behind.

haha spud is a much improved footballer, and will be a very handy inclusion for the magpies.!

whats your thoughts on this weeks games?

Lameroo v Murrayville - Your guess is as good as mine with the outs for Murrayville being quite large, with a bit of an unknown about their ins. However Lameroo have recruited a couple good footballers but will be missing Chucky Benham and Shaun Walker which takes a bit out of their midfield. Gonna be a very close game i think with Lameroo winning by 22pts.

Peake v BDT - Peake have lost a lot of players and their better players at that. How are they gonna cover the loss of Wally Hand up forward? BDT as always have pretty much the same squad with their youngsters coming through to fill the spots left by a couple guys that have left. BDT comfortably for me in this game. 50pts

Pinnaroo v Karoonda - Pinnaroo have gained a few and lost not many with their recruits coming from the riverland. Lippis is a proven goalkicker in the Independants and with the old foe of the Nicholls boys and Sunny they will be a much improved side this year. Karoonda have obviously picked up Quinn as a player and coach which is gonna be very handy. Lost most of the Cove connection from last year and have picked up a few ex locals from Mannum. Gonna be an interesting game this one but ill go with Karoonda by 20 pts.
Burning questions leading into round 1..

Will Karoonda be able to fill the void left by club stalwart Nick Kambuts?

Will Pinaroo be competitive?

Will someone knock BDT off there perch?

And will a fit looking Corey Knights be able to handle the double forward tag he will be copping this year?
i think opposition would be more concerned about shutting down Quinn and Chinner aswell as knight then being able to double tag just 1 player

i also heard the potatoe man has been seen with his goal kicking coach stuart boughen putting in the extra yards to perfect his goal kicking this year....big things coming from the human potatoe

If the amazing rumour I have just heard is true there will be some very nervous umpires running around in the Mallee League this year. Peake have claimed a gun recruit coming off a 77 match suspension. I think we all know who this would be. Honestly what are they thinking!! Can someone from Peake confirm this??

4 Div 2 players from PAOC going to Murrayville might make a bit of a difference

What do we know about these blokes Jimmy ? From what ive heard they will be very handy . Is it correct Bailey has played league footy at West ? Heard couple the others are backs. One around the 6-4 mark and i was told that one was a first choice fullback. Id imagine some of the forwards are in for a tough time considering how well greenslade played last year and he was battling to play consistantly in the 1's at PAC

Don't know what Pinnaroo were like last year, but they have the recruit of the competition playing in the midfield for them this year, over 6'0" quick centreman that kicks the ball 50 and will be good for 10+ tackles a game. Recently moved into the area for work reasons and will rack them up. Resume so far - multiple premiership player in SFL, association rep, club B&F in premiership year, absolute gun.

Bailey played for Glenelg but only seconds as far as I know. Should play in the centre.
Noblett is a key position player ala Chris Edmonds but not as heavy - should play CHB or FB. Hard unit.
Fry will kick you 4 goals a game from HFF but can also play on the ball.
Rees is very fit and can play anywhere, but probably on the ball or in the centre up there.
Nobby is probably only 6'3" though, whereas the others are around 5-11 to 6'.

These guys are probably +20% on Greenslade

All good guys off the field as well

These guy's would be pushing 40 wouldn't they? Why would Peake go down this path? No application for Broadhurst yet!

Tyrone Bennetts is the Pinnaroo Player

This weeks games are going to be tight bar 1:

Lameroo v Murrayville- Murrayville by 14 points

Karoonda v Pinnaroo- will be alot closer then people think, & if Bennetts plays will be closer yet, but Karoonda by 22 points

BDT will smash Peake by 78 points
