Port certainly missed Luke Harder today as he wins his own footy and can be dangerous in front of goal. Apparently has a knee concern that may see him out of the side for a while.

According to Daniel Norton on the 5AA SANFL Show, there was just under 4,800 at Alberton today. It did feel like a 6K crowd though.

Must admit I cant see all the hype in this Wilson fella, a few guys at work said to keep an eye on him he will kick bags this year. Is he carrying an injury? If not he was very ordinary.
Anyone know what happened to Thurgood? Looked like he went over on his ankle quite bad, he plays a fairly crucial role for the Magpies, would be a big loss

Agreed, at the game I felt as though they were 5000/6000 people there.

Its very very very very very likely a knee injury, but how serious ???

would be massive blow best third man up in the marking contest in the SANFL by daylight!

Personally, I think McGuinness's greatest value to the Legs is his ability to read the play, getting to the back of a contest to play that sweeping role and using superior foot skills.

Would be a massive blow to them if they lose their skipper long term but I'm sure nothing will be known or an outcome finalised until he has some scans in the next day or two.

Gotta agree there Jim, was very ordinary today, I was expecting a bit more out of him.

First quarter was as good a quarter as I've seen a Norwood team play in ages, pure, fast and lethal in front of goal. The next two quarters showed why Bass still has so much work to do, under Port's pressure we looked ordinary. Finished off ok though.

Fingers crossed for Kmac.

The game was won and lost in the first 20 minutes. Not sure if I want to actually see the stats at about the 15 minute mark of the first quarter but the 'Legs totally dominated us for that period.

Won more contested ball, clearances, marks, were cleaner with the ball use and lethal in front of goal, albeit with little pressure and often running into an open goal.

Norwood the team to beat. Port with alot of work to do.

I think Wilson is getting alot of attention and is struggling to find his way into the games at the moment. I expect he will turn it around and become more of a focal point but he needs to get his hands on it* first.

Great crowd on a sunny *hiccup* Sunday. :D

Yeah great day, good crowd and atmosphere. Brought back memories of yesteryear when Port made a charge at us, real roar in the crowd. As usual good banter on the wing between fans.
Was hilarious hearing a guy wearing a Power scarfe rip into Flip and Rodan for wrestling with Magpies players and also the Norwood crowd giving to Cockshell when he got one of his two possies for the game.
Port showed enough to suggest they will be around the mark, very impressed with Dolling and Kirkwood

Almost as entertaining as the Magpie fellow who I exchanged words with as he showed concern about how much influence Primus and Keith Thomas had had on the match....

Everytime a Nowood/Power player got a touch this peanut yelled out "Dont forget who is paying your wage you ungrateful prick" but then he saved the biggest serve for Bamford who he accused of being Primus' puppet

Supporters of both teams I reckon would have left the game feeling they'd been hard done by the umps, it really was one of the more odd displays from the men in white I can remember seeing.

First free kick I can remember for the day was against Clayton for some mild argy bargy and was just such a ridiculously soft free kick. Coupled with a 25m penalty which I assume was for back chat it resulted in the games first goal.

By the end of the day, I felt Norwood benefited slighly more by the umpiring verdicts
