South v Port Grand Final (Final ladder: South, Port, Sollies, Central, West, Lions).
Jacob Neary to win the Madigan from Woolford, with dark horse big Al Margitich if he can keep fit and not miss too many games through work.
Scott McIntyre to pip Ryan Morris for the goalkicking award.

Side tips to beef up your multi:
Lions v Port B Grade Grand Final.
Sollies back to back thirds flags.

Not to sure about that, they would of lost a shitload for lasts years team.

Its really hard to win back to back 18s flags.

Tell that to the Westies and Lions kids from 03/04 and 09/10 respectively!

Does anyone from Sollies know whether they lose many to the senior grades?

I didn't say it wasn't possible, those were obviously very good sides.

Sollies lose a shitload this year.

Hey PPLions, you may want to check out whether that is in fact the Nick Amato from Lions, as my mail suggests otherwise.

Yep your mail is correct. Its not Lions' Amato. It is apparently a relative with the same name, whose parents used to run a shop in Pirie apparently. According to my sources. Allegedly.

Sollies over Broughton by 7 goal, looked very impressive and very fit. New FF kicked 10. Broughton also look like they r going to b much better this year. Very good hitout 4 both teams I would suggest.

OK here are some bold premature season predictions......
A season dominant South to win the first of mutiple flags from a gallant Port outfit. Sollies on the rise to finish third. Close tussle for fourth.(West always competitive and spending up again and Centrals still have a good team but Im hearing doubters ). Lions to struggle early but show improvement and work towards 2013.
Clayton Millard (Big raps and someone from Sollies normally wins it!!) and Jacob Neary (Stiff last year) to tie in the medal from Matt Woolford.
Ryan Morris to win goalkicking (Good consistent player and not much opposition really). Hayden Warren and Bradley Amos could be smokies if fit and able to play most games.

Anyone else prepared to give it a go?

Sollies recruits Clayton Millard and Matt Stringer are training with me at Mitchell Pk. Both have healthy training regimes and will go well. Clayton is a gun and a teriffic lad as well would expect him to be right up there in the mids best. Good luck to them both and Sollies.

I was spending the weekend in Pirie and went and had a look at Ports trial .... Not overly familiar with the league but the team ports were playing they are from a different league right ??? Thought the small red headed bloke up forward for the yellow and black side showed some real class. And the bloke that tossed the coin for ports looked like he has some ability

i realise it was a trial game and fairly warm conditions but what was the standard like in comparison to regular season. Ive played against Richie Hobbs in the past and from what i saw he would rip it to shreds in that comp .... that is if hes still playing up that way ??

I don't think the leading goal kicker will come from South. There are at least 4 players that are capable of 20-30 goals each.

Apparently a "Stone wall".

http://www.portfc.com.au/content/view/685/44/

There have been some suggestions at the front bar of the Sporties that Southport CC could in fact do with a "Stone Wall" at the top of their Order.
