I'm not sure what game you were at Grahaml but Westhoff was terrible. He is too soft in the air and seems to refuse to do any kind of work when the ball comes to ground. I'm not saying drop the guy but he cannot be our main focal point in attack. Hardy provided a much better target for the night than Westhoff did. Hopefully Pumpa will be back next week to take the pressure of Hannath. He was out on his feet in that last quarter. This will also free up Hardy to stay in the forward lines.

Also on Thommo that is probably the worst game of football that I've seen him play. He just doesn't seem right.

What I did notice was how many interchanges Laird made. I couldn't keep up! Not sure if this is because of our very interrupted pre season with injuries so players aren't quite up to the fitness level??

Anyway I'm not panicking yet. There were plenty of positives to take out of the game. Our best players were mainly the youngsters which is great to see.

disclaimer: It seems when ever I bag a player they come out the next week and make me eat my words, so expect a big game from Westhoff next week.

I don't think Westhoff played well at all, but it was very clear he was the only target capable of getting his hands on the ball. He dropped marks, lost his footing etc, but importantly it wasn't his direct opponent picking up the ball and running away with it like was the case with just about everyone else up there. Let's not be too harsh on the guy either, we're asking him to play a role he really isn't suited for. He's more or less a flanker who just happens to be nearly 200cm tall. He's not a big marking forward but he's the only option at the moment.

I haven't seen them either, but Collier and O'Brien were pretty highly rated recruits weren't they? Always takes some time to adjust. I'm pretty certain Central will come good soon and be top 3. Disappointed to see them draw South at home next round. A guaranteed first win for the season.

I think anyone that's watched even a few years of sanfl knows there's no "guaranteed" wins, especially against a finalist from last year.

Don't you just love selective quoting? If you were to read what's written, he actually wrote it shouldn't have been a free against West.

I am disgusted at the lack of sympathy shown towards Centrals supporters.

Until next week, tuck into these

You'd be pretty familiar with them after your last twenty years.

Close to guaranteed then. South don't have it in them to beat Central at Elizabeth and Central won't lose three in a row to start the season.

Aerie are you taking the P155? On what I've seen so far this year I expect to be 0 - 8 after the first round is completed.

It's not guaranteed at all. South only need to kick 8 goals and more points than us and they will win.

Its a rare thing to see a Centrals supporter with lack of belief in their team.
