steele beats every ruckman in the league, its pretty amazing to watch him really.
he wins the taps but its where the taps go that hurts, they are always to the advantage of his teammate if they get to the spot.
it will be a very interesting game tomorrow at willunga, fingers crossed its a close game and the good guys get up!!
limb, playin 1s or 2s tomorrow?

I reckon 10 blokes would have to be injured for me to get a run in the A's at the moment.

What's your take on Thommo? Do you think we will see him at all this season or has he hung the boots up for good??

You mean 20 - 25 injuries limb then the Creek might look at you for a spot on the interchange.I reckon BJ would know exactly where Steele taps the ball I reckon he would have been on the end of quite a few.

Apparently Victor were up by about 5 goals at 3 qtr time, then McLaren hit the lead, only for VH to regain the lead and take the points.

I heard they did some big recruting and were by all accounts expecting to be a big part of the action in September. Very early days yet but confidence is a big thing in footy and if they dont break the streak early the sting might jump out of the season for mypo. Crowie please explain one thing mate, what you heard - do you mean 280 a game for all other imports or for all a'grade starters - if its the later thats a lot of bloody coin and on par with SANFL. Im gona guess you meant there are 4-5 on 500 and then a few others on 280...

Can anyone shed light on the Creeks?? Anyone actually watched them play??? They have touched two teams in a row up so far and kicked over 20 goals in each game. The two teams they have murdered were by all accounts supposed to be big improvers - Are they simply not big improvers or are Langhorne the complete package?

i very much doubt that every player is on 280, that is just wayyyyy too much coin especially for who is playing up there.
heard on sunday that the creeks just run the legs off of anyone who plays them. strath being one of the stronger runners in the comp too with the richardsons and eagleton, nisbett and newham.
the creeks have a very good football side, with josh king running rampant at centre half forward and there stream of onballers and half back flankers i cant see anyone beating them at this stage.

Well unlike most of my claims this one is actually from a player and thats what he told me, yeah he said a few are on 280 not everyone, so my bad there, but he did say there were about 10-11 of them on it.. so im guessign some iports and some locals

They might want to reconsider putting blokes on incentive based payments if they are getting that much - maybe the lot for a win and only 60% for a loss. Would save some coin for the club for next year.

SUrely after two rounds of football Creeks are not going to be labelled unbeatable????? Thats the same as naming the mail medal already! Every team has there weakness and every team is due for a bad day, I reckon they will drop a game or two this year - hopefully for them its not in september!

He certainly did play B's and from all accounts is really coming along well mate, he got in the best last week! Not sure about this week but the lads around the club love him!
Unfortunately they went down in both games but I think he is enjoying his footy so far. If he keeps inproving I cant see any reason why he wouldnt get a call up for the late game but thats up to the coach and all that i suppose.

footymad i dont know who will beat the creeks this year, going on results so far maybe mt compass.
but i doubt they have improved that much, and the creeks are better than last year i reckon.
we will see as the season goes along but there is no team at this stage that has impressed me enough to convince me they are a chance of beating them.

That's good news FM.
It's easy to see why everyone loves him!
The coaches down there just need to keep on at him about his kicking and concentration, and he'll do really well.

Have you seen every team play at there best this year yet?
I certainly agree with you though - any team that is kicking 20 goals in round one and two are going to be hard to dismantle.
My news is that Mt Compass are the biggest improvers of the comp in 07, the Bays are still off the pace byut playing good footy in patches and Strath well... they'd be spewing along with Mypo. The Willies are an intersting bunch and will get stronger as the year goes on for sure.
Your thoughts?

I'm suprised no one has brought up the Willunga v Encounter Bay game! That's a big win for the Bays to beat the Demons on there home turf, that must be the first time that has happened in quite a few years! Looking at the paper yesterday I saw Baylis got BOG for the Bays, so does that mean he went ok against Steele and Co.??? Anyone at the game that can shed some light?
It does seem that Langhorne Creek are the team to beat flogging Strath by 100 points or so. It seems that it will come down to them Willunga and maybe the Bays this year?
Alex???

You don't give your boys much hope BJ. They're the reiging premiers and by the look of things they haven't got too much change in the way of players. Speaking of Willunga I haven't heard what the wash up of last week's one point loss to the Bays was. Did Willunga play poorly or have Encounter Bay improved that much??

i reckon the demons on saturday were the dominant team but couldnt translate there dominance onto the scoreboard. encounter bay played well but i dont think they will be around the mark at the end of the year, however it is very early in the season.
willunga were missing seven walk up starts on saturday and will be close but without thommo they are just one tall short of where they were last year. anything can happen on any given day tho.
how did you go saturday limb? were strath that bad?
