Freo played to a game plan and put the Cats off theirs. Ballantyne copped it on the chin. He will now be called thrush by everyone in the league.

Yes, you are right.
Today's rules are ridiculous.
The rules that are now in the AFL should have players playing the game your avatar suggests.

McDonalds bump is part of the game.
Ballintines hit is not.

Simple.

My avatar doesn't really mean what you think it means.

I think you should be like Hayden and take it on the chin. ;-)

We rest players anyway, so Scarlo will have his early in the season now.

I'm sure you would rather he had a rest against GC or GWS, not against Hawthorn.

We haven't beaten them eight times in a row.

Selwood who got 4 or 5 last year.

Selwood was framed. It was a Geelong runner from the Grassy knoll. We can't see what happened clearly so let's give him four weeks.

The only problem was that it was a poor punch by Scarlett. If he'd delivered it properly (as someone like Barry Hall would've) Ballantyne would've been on the sidelines longer than him.

Players should not have to cop that sort of taunting and provocation.

Nothing needs to be said... I think the bloke should get on with the game and worry about getting himself a kick... or if he does want ot stir sh!t then he is able to be clocked on the chin. win-win.

Agree. I never gave an opposition player the chance to want to beat me more than he already did when he ran out on the ground. ( and I had a glass jaw)

Padding is needed so is the Helmet. The ice is not as soft as some AFL grounds. Also being put into the boards isn't comfortable as well.
