The only problem was that it was a poor punch by Scarlett. If he'd delivered it properly (as someone like Barry Hall would've) Ballantyne would've been on the sidelines longer than him.

Players should not have to cop that sort of taunting and provocation.

Nothing needs to be said... I think the bloke should get on with the game and worry about getting himself a kick... or if he does want ot stir sh!t then he is able to be clocked on the chin. win-win.

I got no problems with giving out a bit of lip - if you do however youa re allowed to be smacked for being a smartarse... would make the game a hell of a lot more entertaining

Tough blokes in their padding

Padding is needed so is the Helmet. The ice is not as soft as some AFL grounds. Also being put into the boards isn't comfortable as well.
