Weighted Footy Tips Comp: Round 1

Rd 1 is done and dusted.

Squids a runaway leader after the first with 48 from a possible 51pts. Great start (unlike some!).

Down the bottom, two players, Lucky for Some and the big bang forgot their tips last week (except Sydney the week before) and subsequently scored 10-1 based on home teams (under the new scoring arrangement). Unfortunately for them, the Suns, Western Bullies, Melbourne, North and Richmond all lost! So they scored 25.

In other highlights, a gutsy call by JK to pick the Suns over Adelaide, securing the first point allocated to the Suns for the year. The question now is, will GWS get any points?

I wonder how many of us got lured in by the expectation of Melbourne being decent this year and Richmond's pre season being better than Carlton's? I know I did!

Here's the ladder. I'll start up Rd 2 in a few minutes! Remember there is a game on Thursday night.
