So if we get Steve Smith as well, then that's two average batsmen-cum terrible spin bowlers?

Yay team, bring back Adcock.

SA
2 points this year in the SS
But Chuck has had the balls to introduce a few district cricketers in the last few games
Heez sacrificed the credibility of picking up SS points by giving these guys a chance
So things are happening, just need time to see if things pan out
Gone are Harris, Borgas, Obrein from the SS squads
SA are going to prob field a very young inexperienced line up in 2012-2013
It makes sense to recruit an experienced cricketer with International status

Matty did at least manage to win the Player of the Competition two years running in the One Day Competition whilst playing for us - not a total dud!

5 Tests barely rate a mention and going from Zimbabwe to Denmark for T20 Tournaments cant be constituted as "international" experience.

Botha was cited twice in a season for a suspect action and this is the cherry neatly placed on top of the pile of recruits SA has wasted time, money and resources on over the past decade.

Refer to Joel Garner, Gary Sobers, Barry Richards

There was a time when SA recruited some very talented International cricketers
There wuz another recruit SA gained last century form NSW, , ended up being arguably the greatest batsman of all time that DONned the whites at the cricket ovals

Hey, Im not sure Johan is the answer, but being proactive might be the solution

Refer to carbon dating.....bloody hell mal, mentioning Garner and Sobers is drawing a long bow when talking about successful SA cricketing recruits.
